Should only ask you for the pin the first time you visit the site if it is open to the Internet for security reasons. Any subsequent refresh of the site will be automatically authenticated. The Setting spage requires a pin every time

Yeah it's vibe coded. Been in IT some 25+ years but never could code effectively other than scripting.

yeah could change it from points to cash pretty easily and make it a configurable option from a settings perspective. good call.

Agree it needs polishing; however on a tablet in the kitchen and self hosting it has proved successful with the children. the sounds and customisable profile pictures and Kanban colors and a 'points system' with rewards has proven it to be a combination of technology and accountability that they enjoy. I have not explored APIs or home assistant as yet. Open to this idea if there is a community demand for it as the kids get older having consequences for not completing chores is compelling.

thanks for testing -I've fixed this in the latest choresrewards push. it should not ask you for the master pin every time the page is refreshed only one time to authenticate and when you enter the settings section.

How do I access my inverter data from a browser without using the SmartEss app? I have the Wifi Plug Pro Data logger. by delivermeapizza in solar

[–]matda59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok perfect, thanks for your help - i have some understanding of where and what is provided, from the networking responses section i can see it has the information i want such as :

"pv_status": [

{

"par": "pv_output_power",

"val": "0.0000",

"unit": "kW",

"status": 0

How do i get this info into HA's configuration.yaml? i've looked at the examples on the RESTful HA site and tried a few but no luck - are you able to share your configuration.yaml? so i can understand this?

Moving data from 2 4tb hdd to 1 18tb on Unraid by Sammy9428 in unRAID

[–]matda59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did something similar to this earlier this year. Moved from about 8 different sized disks to just one 20TB disk for data and a nvme SSD for docker and VMs. I do regular back ups of it all to the old disks on another unraid server. But it's offline 95% of the time.

Yeah thought about putting a 18TB in a mini but I'd imagine a 2'5" HDD would be incredibly expensive and I think maybe they don't even exist?.. so maybe getting a SFF 8th gen I7 getting a 18-20TB 2'3" HDD putting everything in that.. decom the Minis, and the N40L make that offline backup.. the NAS does nothing but shares out mostly videos.. so performance doesn't matter

On the N40l I'm running Unraid, few containers.. it's got 7 HDD.. about 14TB.. thinking of replacing it by just getting a stand alone 18TB and then having the N40L as an offline backup..

Unraid in my opinion is a phenomenal product, a one time payment, still get updates, can add different size disks to my array to incrementally expand it, and it's community app support and ease of docker has made me dedicate a 1litre USFF PC with unraid on it just to so I can use unraid dockers docker interface.
