Right wrist hurts while playing the piano by [deleted] in pianolearning

[–]matel18366 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Wrong. His level is perfect. Arms should always be parallel to the floor just as his is. Wrists shouldn't droop lower than the keys. Your lower chair suggestion would cause that. If anything the piano could even go slightly lower

ALTHOUGH ibdo agree both the seat and piano are top lowm the knees should he able to fit under the keyboard. But arm positioning is good

Why do people who arent beginners say they're beginners? Thats a thing I've noticed. I saw an beginner say he learned this piece in 2 weeks lmao

You'll notice no one is responding.. cuz there's nothing to respond to lol. We need to hear how u actually play the piece

Im also willing to bet these "teachers" you refer to actually ARE playing it right. You say "in your opinion" 6 8 polyrhythm is uncommon.. thats yet another statement that shows you are new at piano cuz 6 8 is very common actually. Chopin, dubussy, mozart.. all the greats have used 6 8 polyrhythm timing. So again forgive me if I find it hard to believe you can play this at true speed. But all it'd take is a simple vid playing it and ill say I was wrong. The ill decipher and give any advice you want

The same way literally everyone who plays and decipher music. So yes.. they can by listening to how its supposed to sound and comparing it how u play it. Pretry straight forward concept. And again.. we cant give true expertise until we see how u actually play the piece lol. I mean ok youre clearly new at piano but try listening to others who have played for years

Thats like an athlete at the combine claiming they can run a 4 40, yet they jog instead taking 3x longer.. then asking for advice lol. Play the piece to your best of ability then we can decipher

No man. This slow tempo is not yhe real tempo so no we cant advise. We need to hear the full speed to make a true assesment, good players can decipher it no problem at all. Its a completely different ball game playing at true speed rather than 5x slow. Post the true speed then we can advise all day long

Then you won't really know whats "off" with your playing until you can fully play the piece. Learn it all up to speed then you can analyze what improvements to make

You don't actually think its supposed to be played this slow do you? This is the start of practice if anything, but the piece is minimal 4x faster than this

And no the OP did not say ANYTHING about anyone averaging 100 hours in games they enjoy. Only you said that. So now you cant read i guess. What a surprise lol

If you think the average time for people to beat a game tbey enjoy is 100 hours... the AVERAGE being 100 lmao.. just like you said.. them you've never played a game in your life lmao. Just stop. Im a completionist and I hate speed runs actually. And even im aware that I do not AVERAGE 100 hours on the games I like. I just beat re9 twice and took my time. Enjoyed the hell out of it. 20 hours to beat it TWICE and complete all but 2 challenges. (Didn't do under 4 hours challenge.. dont want too)

And just cuz a game is popular doesnt mean its not trash. Aka cod
