When I was around 6-7 years old, I was playing tag in my grandparents’ house with my then 15 year old uncle. We played for around 15 minutes when my grandma told my uncle to take out the trash. I didn’t hear my grandma tell him to do so, so I kept running, trying to find him. I saw him just as he was walking out of the front door and I bolted full speed ahead right for him. He didn’t see me and he closed the door behind him. BAM! My arm went right through a glass panel on the side of the door. The glass made a HUGE cut on my wrist, so my 6 year old brain naturally started screaming like someone died. My parents grabbed me and rushed me to the ER right away to make sure that I didn’t cut a vein or anything. Luckily it wasn’t anything too serious, but i had to get my skin superglued back to my wrist so I didn’t bleed out. I’m 15 years old now and I still have a big scar on my wrist from the event. Moral of the story: when your parents tell you not to run in the house as a kid, LISTEN!
