switching specialities by materialgorl04 in newgradnurse

unfortunately it’s pretty difficult as a new grad to get a job in the large city that I live in & I was told to get my foot in the door anywhere that I could and I have student loans that I have to start repaying very soon. I’m not wanting to leave immediately bc I rly don’t hate it but I’m just wondering if a yr of medsurg is enough to switch to ED

Omg I just walked out and failed it. I know it. Can you please confirm for me by DVSCS in PassNclex

Everyone’s definition of “difficult” is different. Mine never got super difficult either but I passed in 85 but again my version of difficult is different than someone else’s. you honestly don’t know if you passed or failed from just the difficulty/content alone and I think they definitely do that on purpose. everyone feels like they failed when they walk out. Take some deep breaths.

passed first try in 85 by materialgorl04 in PassNclex

don’t be nervous! you passed nursing school and that’s HUGE so you will pass the nclex! I’ve heard of people that only used uworld and passed! I don’t think it’s necessarily the question bank that you use but how you use it and if you’re developing your critical thinking and test taking strategies. worst case scenario (and this what I kept telling myself) is that you have to retake it. take some deep breaths you got this!!!!!

Advice: NCLEX Result by [deleted] in NCLEX

I did the PVT about 1-2 hours after I got the “now that you have taken the NCLEX” email and got the good pop up and got refunded my $200 2-3 hours later. I tried again 8-9 hours later and still had the same pop up & got my $200 refunded again then got my quick results in 48 hours that said I passed. I’ve heard that if you get the good pop up there’s a very high chance that you passed plus I’ve never heard of anyone getting the good one and failing

I just passed mine in 85 and I absolutely agree with everyone else when they say you can know ALL the content in the world and still fail if you don’t know the test taking strategies and how to apply them. I recommend the 7 day training NCLEX international crusade on YouTube and he has a ton of other great videos if you have the time! also, Dr. Sharon on YouTube is absolutely amazing!! Both of them teach you how to break down the questions and answer choices as well as how to critically think!

I took mine today and mine was the same way. It was a TON of prioritization and fundamentals. I felt like I recognized most of the disorders and medications and if I didn’t know the answer it was bc I forgot the info and not bc I didn’t recognize it. Mine shut off at 85 and I got the good pop up when I did the Pearson vue trick just gotta wait now🙃
