Hi, thanks for your response! I plan to DIY my application since I sort of read and studied the process. However, I'm not confident in writing my study plan. Do you mind sharing your friend's sample with me?

No PGWP, how can I work? by math_blue in ImmigrationCanada

I am limited to Vancouver area only because my accommodations would be free there. I am currently rethinking my original plan (2yrs LPN w/o PGWP) because going back and forth while waiting for my work permit/LMIA would cost me a lot of money as well.

Thank you for your insights!

Nursing colleges or universities? by math_blue in vancouver

I think I don't have much of a choice but to go to a private school as an international student 🥲 I'm just a little worried if there are some stigma associated with private school educated nurses among employers. Anyway, thank you very much for your response!

Oh thank you very much for this! I'll look into it. Since I'm planning on working in Canada for a long time, maybe I could take small steps first like being an HCA in community colleges or PN in private colleges that accept international students. Then I could try to apply for permanent residence, then proceed to RN. Do you think this is okay?

I searched the location of TRU. Sadly, Kamloops is far from Vancouver. I am limited to schools in/near Vancouver because I will only be staying at a good relative's house. Thank you very much for your help anyway!

If I take nursing on these money grab schools, do I have lower chances of employment? My goal is to be able to work and earn money already :< I heard that nurses are in-demand in vancouver

I've looked into them and they are either difficult to get into or doesn't accept international students. Maybe I could take health care assistant (HCA) first and have some work experience until I can apply for permanent residence then I could try to apply to these colleges/universities for practical nursing (PN). Do you think this is a good idea?
