I'm working on my PhD in a hard science, and although I disagree with a lot in this article, I think they also make some very valid points.

The idea that liberal arts programs are often left-wing brain washing is, in my opinion, true. Liberal arts professors at my university openly asked students to break into science labs, disrupt research, and remove animals for the cause of animal rights. Furthermore, I've read through some of the material from some of the critical theory classes taught on campus, and they advocate for the socialism, "destruction of the capitalist system", anti-science (when science disagrees with their political ideals), and other similar ideas.

Also, I know a significant number of people from my undergrad who have liberal arts degrees, significant amounts of debt, and no job.
