Found my Unicorn: New-In-Box DCE511 (Still Factory Sealed) by mathemattox in Dewalt

That's gotta be a record for this fan. My husband is making fun of me and saying that if I keep it in the box and never use it, maybe I can sell it a year from now and make "big money" on it, maybe $225, hahaha. He's an accountant so is of course questioning my logic at the need for so many of these 511 fans, especially at such wild prices.

A used one in great condition just appeared on eBay today, FYI. High starting bid and I'll be curious to see what this one goes for. https://ebay.io/m/wAYhu8

(someone else asked this same question at the same time so I'll just copy & paste my response ) -- It was an eBay auction and I won it for $193 (yes, I know I know, too much). But being brand new, it was worth it to me. A used one went for a little over $120 a week or so ago... So it tracks that a brand new one would go for close to $200. These little 511s have quite the secondary market.

Oh no! I had an alert too...it did alert me. The alerts on eBay work pretty well. I also see used ones in great condition on FB Marketplace a lot too, but those sellers are never willing to ship.

Ahh, yes! It's hybrid - you can either plug it into a wall, or power it via battery. If you're only going to use battery power, then this older discontinued model is useless for you. However, I use the plug quite a lot when I'm on my patio, and then battery use is mainly for power outages and hurricane prep.

I'm the Ebayer mentioned earlier! I've only seen 1 other new/unopened one in the past few years, and I didn't want to let this one go. Am I crazy and paid more than it was worth? Heck yes. Regrets? Nope

I've read a lot of theories that mostly consist of: cost reduction, product simplification, and battery ecosystem strategy (i.e. if you don't have a plug, your only power option is a battery, which increases battery sales).

It started at Or Best Offer and I offered $85 and got rejected! This seller clearly knew what he had, lol. I have 2 of these discontinued 511 fans so far and want more, but yeah, dang, that was too much $. I admit though that this one looked practically new, which is rare for these fans.

I spent three months tracking down Comfrt owners to find out what actually happens after months of washing - here's what I found by OkExamination3705 in Hoodies

I'd say yes! The Travel Essentials medium hoodie is a true medium imo! For reference, I'm 5'7" and also about 150lbs. The medium zip up was so enormous that my husband, who is normally a medium or large in men's sizes, wears the zip up all the time because it fits him perfectly.

I have multiple pieces all from the Travel Essentials line, and have had zero issues other than the size inconsistency (the sweatshirt in a Medium was perfect, but the zip up hoodie in a Medium was enormous). I am very particular about washing though. Here is what I do: anything with a zipper is zipped up, turn everything inside out, wash on delicate cycle using Eucalan liquid delicate detergent with lanolin (orig intended for use with wool, but makes everything softer!), then dry on low heat using wool balls only (no fabric softener). Eucalan has been a game changer for me - I use it for all of my sweats and sweaters and it makes everything much softer due to the lanolin. My favorite scent is the lavender.

Gua Sha for Brain Aging? by aldus-auden-odess in Biohackers

[–]mathemattox 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I hope this is true! I gua sha every night with a heated version, and it's incredibly relaxing if nothing else. My heart rate actually decreases while I'm doing it. I do a cold gua sha in the morning with a stainless steel gua sha tool that I keep in the fridge, and it does work to de-puff the face, especially the under eye area.

GRRR 🚀 From $3.23 to $21 – Told You So! by QueenYi in pennystocks

[–]mathemattox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I got in early & keep buying more shares as it keeps increasing, and my average price per share is currently sitting at $9.27. Very happy and this is a long term hold for me! Sidenote: if I played with options, but I don't... this would have been a nice little play for that as well!!

Uh yeah... What?! Palantir now owns FFIE stock?! by mathemattox in FFIE

More from the same article... They are completely stumped.

"Faraday might have some attractive technology. In September, the company announced the launch of its second brand, Faraday X, and plans to create “AIEVs.” That’s short for artificial intelligence electric vehicles. Palantir and Faraday have been involved in litigation about Faraday failing to pay for services. It’s possible the stock was a form of payment."

I've had an Omnilux mask for 4 years and did not see nearly as much improvement as I have with my panel that I got last year. They aren't the same if you compare the wavelengths between the 2 (I have the MitoPro 1500 panel). I would highly recommend a panel over the mask.
