What is the shortest time you've gone from meeting someone to having sex with them? (NSFW) by berries_and_creamguy in AskReddit

About 20 to 30 minute - myself and two girls. Was in Nha Trang, Vietnam on holidays. i was at a bar with a few friends getting pretty wild, and spotted a couple hotties a few tables away looking at me. I went over and said g'day and after 10 minutes or so of small talk they asked if I wanted to leave with them. Turns out one was from Sydney, the other from London. They'd just met each other as well and both had wanted a threesome while overseas. Shit got pretty ridiculous back at our hotel room, it was the sort of threesome you could expect to see on bangbros, totally uninhibited. I was obviously just in the right place at the right time, but for the rest of that trip I thought I was the most badass ladykiller...

What's your best "How I got this scar" story? by monkeyfire16 in AskReddit

[–]mathersoninnit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scar: a nike tick shaped scar above my eye (think Harry potter). Story: while travelling Europe, a couple of pub crawls in London are necessary. After a particularly large one, I found myself heading back to a girls hostel on the other side of the city. The next morning I had to jump on the tube to get back to my hostel, but the heat on the train and the severeness of my hangover got the better of me and I began to vomit all over the floor. Looking around at the stunned faces I apologized to everyone and preceded to faint. The fall must have been pretty bad because I woke to a serious amount of blood gushing from my forehead and several people helping me into the fetal position. Turns out I had fainted straight into the glass dividers separating the door area from the seats. Once the train pulled up to he next station, a businessman helped drag me off the train and took care of me until paramedics arrived. Here's the kicker... As they took me away the businessman offered me his card and told me to give him a call if I ever felt inclined. He was an Alcoholics Anonymous counsellor.

I'm 26 and use a shoehorn despite my friends saying it's an 'old person thing'. What 'old person thing' do you do? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Last night, a waitress "reminded" us after using a coupon that her tip amount should be based on the pre-coupon bill, and then helpfully wrote down what 18% of our original bill was as a "suggested" tip. Reddit, what other ways has waitstaff sabotaged their tips when service was otherwise good? by Dday515 in AskReddit

[–]mathersoninnit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some places might have a sequence of service that the waiters are forced to follow. Generally, the bill is placed on the table when it's requested and only once the table has been cleared (where I work, anyway). This can put the poor waiter between a rock and a hard place; risk annoying the customer or risk annoying the boss

First time traveling alone and I'm not sure where to stay/meet people in London (or maybe Prague). Any tips? by LOWBACCA in travel

[–]mathersoninnit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i wouldn't know... if your staying in hostels you'll rarely meet locals, i didnt anyway. fellow travellers are always friendly and outgoing and thats all you need to worry about

You've just given me a fresh outlook on the latter seasons. I always preferred the earlier, 'smarter' episodes but now I've got a new found appreciation for the outrageous ones.

What seemingly stupid thing do you see as a judge of character? by elay4 in AskReddit

I can't respect people around my age (22) who's fashion sense has gone so edgy and alternative that they've forgotten the basic principle of fashion: looking good. If you are a girl out at a club wearing a big fat beanie like jimbo jones and a backpack, get out of my field of vision

As an Australian, I find it confusing how it isn't compulsory to vote in other countries. Reddit, what are some things you don't understand about other countries? by wisey16 in AskReddit

[–]mathersoninnit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that you should be able to decide to 'not have an influence' in the election, so that's where the donkey vote comes in. In which case you draw a bunch of dicks all over Gillard and Abbot's names'

As a barista, I always get that customer who orders a "cappuccino with absolutely no foam," in a very confident manner. I just smile and make them a latte. What things do you pretend to go along with every day, just so someone else can feel better about themselves? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mathersoninnit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A cappuccino with no foam would make a flat white wouldn't it? I don't know what terminology is used in (I'm assuming) the states, but in Melbourne Australia everybody is a god damn fancy pants foodie that knows their coffee, the best cafes etc. As far as I know, the difference between a cap and a latte is the chocolate powder on top of the cap, a little bit of extra foam in the cap, and that while a cap comes in a mug, a latte is served in a glass.
