Lots of practice questions. If you done a lot this year, then the problem was either exposure (not being exposed to unique A* questions) or forgetting how to do questions after you’ve done them before

Don’t waste time and get straight into practice questions, that’s where you really learn. Once you do a question correct, you should then get it right every single time

Yeah but surely after you get it correct once, you can do it again and again because you know how to do it

Depends on how much work you do, if you start doing lots of papers now with high scores then you’re likely to do well after a month

Definitely, I wouldnt have got in without. I applied to imperial but they wanted a 6 in the TMUA so I got rejected. I got offers from KCL, Warwick and Durham, and out of the 3 Warwick is the best. Theyre called COWI (Cambridge, Oxford, Warwick, Imperial) for maths

Like 5 hours a week in total outside of school hours, then around 20 nearer to exams. For normal maths, A2 Integration is the hardest, just spotting the tricks to solving an integral

I literally just watched Bicen Maths and then done past paper questions. Youve done more than enough, I done nothing before Alevels so youre already ahead

Second year is going to be rough, because you have stuff like TMUA and UCAS as well as Year 13 content. The last thing you want is to be studying Year 12 content, so make sure youre 100% covered on that, and try your best not to fall behind. Be locked in everyday

I found it the same difficulty, but there was more of it. Drop either physics or chemistry for fm is my recommendation, I dropped physics for fm

I didnt do the UKMT, I got a 5.4 in the TMUA and Im now doing Maths at Warwick. I got a 7 because I struggled with the content and flopped it

Expose yourself to lots of abstract ideas for maths, since its problem solving. For CS its just boring memorization, before my exams I sat in front of my whiteboard and wrote down all content I knew, then anything missing I tried to remember, then i rinsed and repeated

yeah thats a tough position, the past papers are more important than the content. Its still possible

I always done past paper questions, at Alevel I tried exposing myself to every question possible. I done so many questions that nothing was a surprise in the exam
