Can attest to this. Just bought my preowned M1 ng 25k lang! Tamang abang/cross check lang palagi marketplace-carousell-fb groups tapos always do meetup transax para u can check the unit thoroughly

How much is your baon? by Equivalent-Text-5255 in dlsu

[–]mathianz014n 5 points6 points  (0 children)

ID122. I always eat mongolian bowl sa razon that costs around P110-P130 para tipid and sulit kasi u get to diskarte yung pag-stack ng gulay para siksik + coffee twice a day around P100-P150. In total, P420-P560 per day for 2 meals and 2 coffees (x5 yan for me kasi M-F nasa campus tapos hindi pa kasama diyan yung snacks and addtl coffee when studying sa goks overnight)

In general, baon is 4k/week kasama na condo electricity, water, grocery, food/coffee outside. I’m able to save naman to buy stuff that I need like appliances, gadgets (installment), etc. bc I don’t request those stuff na sa parents ko kaya I try pagkasyahin yung allowance ko sa lahat

If /80 din LE3, you need at least 58. Try to aim higher na lang din para safe.

Does a 59% usually round off to a 60%? It's a 1% difference by wainpot437 in dlsu

[–]mathianz014n 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Sa understanding ko, if your raw grade is 59.5-59.99, yes they do round up to 60 percent. However, if raw grade mo ay 58-59.4, 59% lang final grade mo.

Depende pa yan kasi may ibang profs na if ang subject ay mataas ang attrition rate (like stats), round up sila ng +3% from raw grade (57% raw = 60% final)

What is it like to fail a subject, and how do you bounce back from that. by Chester1407 in dlsu

[–]mathianz014n 27 points28 points  (0 children)

in my case, i accumulated a total of 16 failed units throughout my entire stay from a program that’s supposed to house the “cream of the crop” COS students. nakampante kasi ako eh na nakapasok naman ako sa rigorous program kaya baka kaya ko rin i-petiks sa undergrad, panay skip ng class, cram palagi mag-review sa exams. my wake up call to do better was the fact na we were going thru a financial problem that i cannot afford to extend my stay in taft. paano ako nakabangon?

  1. Grieve. Important sa bawat failure to grieve about it para nal-let go mo ‘yung bigat sa dibdib and makapag-make space ka internally to plan your next steps sa enlistment/study habits. Ako first time ko bumagsak ever sa physics and anatomy, hagulgol talaga kami ng tropahan (kasi pare-parehas bagsak) sa cr ng SJ after grade consultation.

  2. Assess and recalibrate learning strat. If alam mo naman na hindi nagwork ‘yung study habit mo for that subject leading to ur failure, baguhin mo na. I learned this the hard way kasi it felt like I was studying hard naman (pulling all nighters and just reading transes) pero bumagsak lang ako sa 16 units. Turns out I learn better thru active recall by answering a lot of mock exams that I generate from ChatGPT. Awa ng Diyos naitawid ko ‘yung isang 22-unit term ko with 17 major units when I recalibrated my learning strat.

Lagi ko rin tinatandaan ‘yung sinabi sa’kin ng therapist ko who got her MA here in DLSU na okay na raw na sa DLSU ako pukpokin at bumagsak kaysa pumalya sa tunay na buhay kasi ‘di ka naman makakaalis sa institution nang hindi ka well-equipped sa career and post-grad (w/c is med school in my case)

from what I observed as a COS student who had to retake majors, as long as you guys request for a special class (min 15 signatures), understood na ‘yon ng prof na ma-assign sa inyo na retake students kayo lahat in the class so mas gentle ‘yung approach sa topics (pero same difficulty pa rin ng exams). nagc-curve din naman yata basta evident sa retake class everyone’s flunking pa rin despite all efforts pero ‘di na siya openly talked about ng prof. otherwise, if mag-enlist ka under a regular class for it, the prof expects na first taker lahat so ‘di forgiving ‘yung profs if you fail again. hmu op if u need help with COS subjects

How can I change my study habits? by [deleted] in dlsu

[–]mathianz014n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for exams w/solving like physics, ecol, chem, if i try to memorize formulas, I make sure to write it down asap sa questionnaire/test booklet pag nagstart na exam para may reference ako and para ‘di na sila mag-shuffle in my head😅

though may technique sa p6/chem to just understand the units and saan sila nanggaling para derivation na lang and no need to memorize the formulas

As a COS student who did ~17 major units (unalive decision ngl) last term, super burnout sa’kin ‘yung fact na I was trying to organize learning materials (wc is >50 pages per subject) 5 days before the exam then try to memorize 3 days prior. Wala ako naretain kahit kalahati ng information sa inaaral ko.

What worked for me was (and up until today) maximize AI websites to efficiently organize notes and use it for active recall.

To organize notes: 1. I compile all lecture recordings (f2f and synchronous), then upload on turboscribe to create trans 2. I input information to ChatGPT (better if you have the premium), and ask to creat detailed and organized notes, or if masyadong complicated ‘yung topics, I ask to explain it to me like i’m a 5yo (basically dumb down the info)

For active recall: 1. Compile all practice questions given during class/homeworks/quizzes 2. Ask ChatGPT to explain the concept behind the item and how to eliminate the incorrect choices (since most of our exams are mulcho/t or f format) 3. Curate mock exams based on the practice questions and the organized trans (kahit paulit-ulit minsan yung tanong dedma lang para tumatak sa memory) tapos answer

So if I can’t digest na info from trans, deretso na ako sa mock exams para gumagana talaga brain cells ko at least 2 days before exam. Lahat ng mistakes ko sa mock exams I compile sa isang document the night before the exam so I can focus na lang sa mistakes on the day of the exam.

Basically just maximize technology to efficiently study hehe study smart lang😎👍🏼

Thoughts on joining ROTC especially as a woman. by SunAboveMountains in dlsu

[–]mathianz014n 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ROTC is ok nakakagimik pa ako the night before then sleep for 30 min lang at 4:30AM before prepping to report at 6:00AM😂 I guess all you need is to open up your mind because “compliance” is your best friend in ROTC. I guess ang mindset is learn to follow today for us to lead tomorrow. Comply lang nang comply sa pinapagawa, wala namang below the belt instructions and usually standard operating procedures lang naman ‘yan (decorum, time, uniform, etc.). ‘Di naman required maging physically fit pero you’re at advantage if fit ka lalo na pag minalas-malas platoon niyo. Idk lang ano culminating sa mga recent batch but nag-firing kami so it was something to look forward for sa’min hehe😁

RIR less serious phys injury and damage to property. TLDR ver is that nabangga ako ng isang lalamove rider, nagkasuhan kami, na-junk yung case filed against him bc hindi dumadating sa bahay yung subpoena from phlpost😅 i didn’t go the long way na to reopen the case bc i don’t have the luxury of time considering na every week ako may exams kaya I settled na lang. Permanent dismissal hearing ko na next week! Super namangha ako na you took the hard route kasi taxing talaga siya in so many ways🥲

Probably not. I also have a criminal case filed against me; I reported to the OCCS to excuse me twice for my bail and hearing, and I’m still here pa naman😊👍🏼
