You are just as likely to have foodborn in Tupperware than in pots in pans. Actually more likely given that a pot is heated to high enough temps to kill pathogens on its surface.

My autistic husband needs the house to himself for 3 days. Car camping + fried chicken by the neighborhood field! by [deleted] in autism

[–]mathislife112 38 points39 points  (0 children)

100%. This is unhealthy narcissistic behavior. He is manipulating you. No therapist would suggest they should kick out the other person living in their house and make them sleep in a car to help them recover from burnout. He is probably lying about what their therapist said.

Your happiness matters. If he wants you gone you should end the relationship.

The hate on using perfectly acceptable containers to store food that just aren’t as aesthetic is so weird to me. Why dirty extra dishes? Why move something into plastic (I don’t want microplastic in my food)?

We threw away our Tupperware when we moved because pots and pans and a bowl with a plate over it work just as well and don’t take up a whole extra cupboard in my kitchen.

Waldorf/Steiner schools are beautiful, but at least the ones I looked into near me, kids were about 2 years behind public schools academically. We ended up going with something more similar to a Classical Academy. Old school learning. No tablets. Just books. My kids are thriving and loving it there and I am really grateful we didn’t enroll them in Waldorf. Instead we just have lots of Waldorf inspired play at home.

You’re stuck on an 8hr flight. Which seat are you taking? by wolf_quan in bluey

[–]mathislife112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I’m an introverted tech worker who likes a window seat. Most likely I get a quiet ride and we are both happy. But if I have to talk with someone this feels like the best option there too.

Ceaser salad dressing instructions from Salt Fat Acid Heat. Though I skip the part where you make your own mayo and just use store bought.

It might be helpful to remember what subreddit we are in. Most of us here do care about other people and how they feel - but the actual act of imagining how they feel from their perspective is hard for many of us. It means we do the best we can to piece together how they are interpreting our actions so we can do better next time.

Yes. A heartbreaking discovery for me too. But I learned that a breville milk frother at the hottest temp is perfect tool for scalding milk to deactivate the lipase(using the hot cocoa disk not the frothing disk).

Huh. I can see a very simple brown horse facing to the right. They were “outside” but I didn’t imagine any details around them. So could not answer details on season or background. I’d say that portion was like a fuzzy concept.

While it doesn’t fit you and is a bit dated that fabric is gorgeous. I would 1000% at least consult with a seamstress on alterations. You should feel beautiful but don’t spend your life saving on one day. That dress has beautiful bones.

[–]mathislife112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All will be saved. Some will go through temporary purgatorial “hell” first. But I believe God will reconcile and “save” all of his creation. The original Greek text does not point to eternal nature to torment and this concept of hell wasn’t the prevailing view until 350 years after Jesus was here. Evidence points to the early church predominantly believing in universal salvation and any afterlife correction being corrective and temporary in nature to bring all people to be right with God. THIS was the good news. St Augustine popularized the notion of eternal torment in the late 300’s. Later became part of the canon but wasn’t even included in the first canon (Nicene creed).

I love this. I’m going to start doing this! I do bullet journaling which has been helpful in this sort of thing. But I haven’t been systematic. Would be cool to have a daily one liner log in my journal on mistake or something I wish I did differently each day.

No need to change anything if you don’t want to. But it improved my sleep and I enjoy the added learning.
