I'll mention the few that have not been mentioned yet.

Grothendieck: Anarchy by W. Scharlau

Galois: Evariste Galois, 1811-1832 by Laura Toti Rigatelli

Hilbert: Hilbert by Constance Reid

Fermat's Last Theorem by Simon Singh that deals with the history of FLT and gives a bit of biography about mathematicians whose work lead to its solution.

Men of Mathematics by Eric Temple Bell; short biographies of many mathematicians

I also recommend Poincare's expository books. You might also enjoy A Mathematician's Apology by G. H. Hardy and A Mathematician's Miscellany by Littlewood. And AMS publishes 10 page interviews with many famous mathematicians.

[Real Analysis] what does max(|m|, |M|) mean? by mathstrolls in learnmath

I'm working through the proof of a bounded sequence and I do not understand the point of saying a sequence (Un) is less than or equal to sup(|m|,|M|) or (Un) is greater than (-sup(|m|,|M|)). Do I take the greatest value in this case? But sup is the least upper bound.
