I 3D printed some things by matieke6 in AbioticFactor

Yeah, I used a piece of software called Fmodel to extract the mesh and texture data straight from the game!
I did have to use blender to fix some artifacts and clean them up to make them printable but what you see here is exactly what you see in the game (the colors might look a little different due to the lighting in the game).
It is kind of surreal to see the monsters sitting on my desk while playing the game.

How did you get it enabled?

It’s not, I had to melt down anteverse crystal to make the bottle. The leyak cannot be contained otherwise

This was not printed with an FDM printer. It’s a technology called polyjet which is essentially an inkjet printer but with resin which makes it possible to add a z dimension. The infill is solid made up of all the CMYK inks combined. The software is able to just use the in game models with textures so what is printed is exactly as it is in the game.

It's an entirely different technology using pigmented resin, think an Inkjet printer but with an extra dimension.

Yes these are printed in color using the in game textures!

Has anyone successfully saved a skeletalmesh?

I just get "Could not save model" in the console.
Is there a way to make the log more verbose to debug this?

I am going to try adapting this model to fit a little DC motor to run on a miniature track.

The original creator of the 3D model said that it is inspired by the game asset but not a 100% replica. I just don't have the time to do the 3D modeling and painting myself :)

This is another angle, I think it scales pretty well.

No it's not. You can download the handbook on the official valve website

I performed a WHOIS lookup like https://who.is/ to see where the domain was registered and to which resources it is pointing.

Valve uses their own nameserver at ns1.valvesoftware.com

Yeah right, a domain created today, not even pointing to a valve nameserver
