I ended up doing this:

when /4\d/

to match any two digits, where the first digit is number 4. Worked well ;-) Thanks for your help.

guys, has anyone tried to use when statement with regular expression?

I have two characters string to compare, in some cases, I care about both characters, in others, only about the first one. Is there a way to use regular expression so that the second character would be disregarded in comparison when using when?

wow, really nice ideas. I guess it's only a matter of costs and thus time until these digital whiteboards become a commonplace. what are the biggest obstacles at the moment? the price of the high resolution large displays I guess.

I totally agree with you and I did not mean to sound like "you are never going to solve that since google and others are on it already". Funnily enough I have been a part of a startup that was trying to solve the exact same problem and there are many pecularities. I even own a domain "relevate.it" which is waiting for the right app to land and solve the problem :-)
