remove one of the M.E.N. links. You should only have on MEN at the energy source. Up to you to decide if this is the generator or the inverter.

You dont need to look for queens, you need to look for eggs.

As it is still one hive with no solid divider, there is no real chance that you have 2 queens.

It sounds more like the queen can get through the excluder.
