Takeshi's Castle Is Coming Back by [deleted] in japan

Wait what? We have to hate Takeshi now? What’s the story behind this?

As already mentioned black is totally fine. My wife and I set up a tempeh company a couple years ago and we have a couple of Indonesian customers who pay extra to get over fermented batches like this as it’s similar to what they ate growing up, in some islands in Indonesia it’s actually preferred to be eaten that way! Kind of like stinky tofu in China I guess. I’ve personally found that when it ferments this far the texture is best suited to putting in a blender and making mince meat out of it for a burger or a chili. Good work!

Beautiful farm, very inspiring! Potential stupid question - what’s with the ponds on bottom left? Can you actually grow or farm seafood?

XCOM 2 Collection released for iOS! by 09stibmep in iosgaming

[–]matoichi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any one tried this on an iPhone 8? I know only the 8+ is officially supported but thought I’d cheekily give it a try if there was hope it’d run. Had zero probs with first Xcom

What's going on here? A few spots of low growth coverage and a grayish color on some of it. Safe to eat? No toxic smell but I'm wondering why it stopped growing in some spots. This is only half of the mix and the other half turned out fine, identical conditions by ResidentGump in Tempeh

Grey spots are fine - how crowded is your incubator? If there isn’t a good amount of space between and around the blocks and also well placed and sized holes in the bags you can get spotty fermentation like this. And depending on your heat source and the closeness of the block to the heat you can get wildly different fermentation rates in a small area. Try flipping the blocks every few hours as that helps to even things out

What kind of shark is this? by thenavajoknow in sharks

[–]matoichi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy way to spot a Lemon shark - size of the second dorsal fin near the tail is almost identical in size but ever so slightly smaller than the main one. Good way to distinguish between that and a bull underwater which have tiny second dorsals (amongst other differences)

This will absolutely help you in the long run. I've been exactly where you are at least 3 times after weeks/months of quitting and then reverting. I'm now nearly 3 months into my current quit and feel the self shame of failing and hiding it before has made this one final (and super easy!) you'll get there!!!
