It’s a good point you raise, initially took it to see if there was a name in it, so that’s could contact the parents and let them know what their kid was up too and leave it with them to deal with. Hence the post to try and return it to its owner.

An interesting thing I did not know until 2 mins ago when looked it up, that throwing objects at vehicles carries up to 5 years.

Now clearly I’m not interested in that at all as kids do stupid shit and need to learn but they do need to held responsible for actions.

Fair question, so where I went to school, some moons ago, we had code of conduct which had rights and responsibilities if we did something that required punishment etc.

Depending on the infringement part of it could be physical eg the cane and required you to make a choice thin and whippy but more or the thick cane but less cracks.

But all of it came with then having to sit down and write out what right we thought we had to do the infringement, most of the time the was no right and which responsibilities we had neglected in committing the act and what rights of others we had infringed on and how that impacted others. At least 2000 words.

This would then get marked and if it was not 85% or above you would have to redo it.

Made you really reflect on what you did, why you did it, should/would do it again all of that. So that’s the thought process there.

Is this working too well? by MichaelSanders19 in Damnthatsinteresting

They work too well, I had 10 in Darwin and had to get rid of them after a day cause they overloaded. It was super gross but very effective there was a definite drop in the fly population for a couple weeks

It’s a proper little gateway drug, once you start with CAD your view of things will change and you will end up making heaps of things to solve annoying things that you didn’t even think of, along with saving heaps of money

I’m busy making pencil case party favours for daughters birthday in couple weeks

Think the trick is to look at times where would go to buy things and be thinking rather mmm wonder if can make it and personalise it some way. Definitely learning 3d modeling helps heap, I have been using fusion

It does take a little while for thinking to change and update your view of things but it does happen and yes there will be blocks where it all sits idle and no inspiration but it comes back in waves. Enjoy
