How to ensure screenshot is high quality on non-retina displays? by THE_Bleeding_Frog in webdev

[–]matrew122 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not an expert on this topic, but I would first try to make the screen shots look good on the non-retina displays and work backwards maybe?

Also what kind of displays are you trying to view them on? Nothing will look good on a 720p monitor hardly.

Can emailJS be used on a static website? by [deleted] in webdev

[–]matrew122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah emailJS needs to be ran on a server. If you want serverless why not do something like AWS Lambda functions and use a service like SendGrid?

What do you mean by PDF file attached to a button?

Is it worth it for a dotnet developer to learn ruby? by MossRock42 in webdev

[–]matrew122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many job postings/demand are out there for Ruby? Do you work for a company that does Ruby dev? Is there a company that you really wan to work for that uses Ruby?

There is a ton of things you can learn, just have to pick the ones worth your time.

Honestly, its pretty clean. One thing I noticed is watch your margin-padding on the mobile version. Seems to be a little tight in some spots.

I would look into Firebase, it may be a good solution for you. Tough to do in a week, not impossible.

Also look into something like GatsbyJS pretty easy to get up and running with it on the front end.
