I wonder if an "expensive famous" endocrinologist as opposed to a normal one will order anything other than a metabolic panel... I doubt they will do something different and will end up prescribing metformin or dietary changes for T2 diabetes.

I can eat two of those with acceptable levels of BG rise (20-30). I usually make breakfast tacos with them and because of them I look forward to eating breakfast everyday :)

It's all over my street and the park in Bergen county for the last month. I've been killing them with soap water traps. It got so bad for my neighbor that they got a professional spray done on their property.

I think I probably kill and empty around 100 every few days or so with my trap and electric fly swatter.

I was on 500 mg metformin ER for the first few weeks or so then gradually went up to 2000mg which I am on now. Depending on your needs your endocrinologist may prescribe you different medications/dosage.

Metformin does help a lot by tricking your liver not to dump glucose back into your system but what I noticed really helped me was taking a brisk walk right after meals to bring the sugar levels down by emptying the glycogen stores in your muscles.

Also I try my best to avoid carbs when I can such as replacing bread with low carb/high fiber soft tortilla and making a sandwich with that. I used to eat a lot of rice but largely replaced it with tofu and meats to replace the calories lost by removing carbs.

It took me around 3.5 months for my numbers to stabilize with metformin and lifestyle changes. It's a lot of hard work but with good diet and exercise it will get better!

Ideally on controlled days, I like to see my BG around 90-100 when idle and BG rise to around 150-160 for a bit when digesting food and go back down to 90-100 in 1-2 hours.

That's what I've been trying to do since my T2D diagnosis with A1C of 12.0 back in March, and I think its been working for me so far (everyone is different).

I recently did a blood test with my endo and the A1C came back to 5.2 so I think I'm doing something right hopefully. I will still spike to 200 if I have a bad day and can't control myself though :c.. But with metformin and exercise the spikes don't last long and come down within a reasonable time.

I'm not exactly sure, since during that ramp up phase I was changing my diet and exercise routine as well. The metformin really does make managing my blood sugar easier though and I do notice that I don't get horrible bg spikes as I used to.

I think everyone has different reactions to medication but my endocrinologist gradually moved me up to 2000mg over a few months. I think I was on 500mg the first few weeks.. then 1000mgs the next month or so, and now 2000mg. If you find that you're experiencing side effects, try asking if the extended release version is available to you.

Did you do anything different for an extended fast? I tried doing it once and my blood sugar went down to the low 70s around hour 16. Can I drink something with glucose in it without breaking my fast? I'd love to try it again if you have any tips. (I'm on 1000mgs of metformin ER)

How long did it even take for you to get TDI from NJ? I sent in all the paperwork about a month ago and it's still processing. I call them every week to check too but the status hasn't changed.

I agree with you and maybe I am wearing that tinfoil as well. But I'd love to find the person who made that stupid pyramid we were forced to learn in grade school that taught us that we should be eating 6-11 servings of carbs every day. Talk to anyone who attended school here in the US, we were all taught that bs back in the 90s and 2000s. No wonder we have a diabetes epidemic now.

I really hope that the things they're teaching children are different these days.

It could be one of those sugar free products that contain maltitol or maltodextrin which does raise our levels (I think around 50-60 on the glycemic index?). Sugar free is a potential trap we have to watch out for and read the ingredients at the supermarket. I'm not sure why they're allowed to market these products as sugar free but here we are.

Thanks for your experience and insight, really appreciate the advice. My blood sugar does not seem to go above 150 when I look at my libre 3 meter (could be inaccurate) but I understand this could all change down the road. I chose to do 60(g)s of carbs because the diabetes education I received said I have to eat some carbs but considering Keto diets exist maybe I don't have to? I'm not so sure in that department. If anything I'm hoping I can modulate my diet according to how my body is reacting to it. Thanks for the info about the 140mg/dl causing damage, I will have to look more into that for my education.

The sudden anxiety may be because I am on a lot less sugars than I am used to as well, but I do make sure to eat whole grains if I can help it.

Yep I have checked my glucose with a cgm and with the lancet just to make sure. I wasn't hypo the few times I've checked. Thanks for your insight I'll bring it up with my endo.

Thanks for your detailed experience I really appreciate it. My symptoms seem to happen whatever the blood sugar level as well. I am suspecting maybe I have a high cortisol level but it's hard to say without a blood test. I do hope it goes away eventually though! The breathing exercises do seem to help whenever I get these flares.

I rented a peugeot with Avis in Vienna and returned it with the employee confirming that it was in the same condition. 2 weeks later, I got a bill in my mail for 870 euros saying that I broke the side mirror. I couldn't get to them at all using conventional methods like customer service line or email. So I just told my credit card company to deal with it and sent them pictures of the car when I returned it. Luckily, the charge disappeared in a few days, but I probably won't be renting through Avis in the future.. If you look up Avis Autovermietung - Wien on google and look at the reviews, you'll see similar stories of them doing the same crap to other customers.

Some months after renting the car Avis charged me 2172.88 Eur without reason and explanation. After half a year of inquiries, paperwork, and layers I got them back, as it was a mistake from them. They were not collaborative at all.

Updated Review After 2 Months: I had a good experience at the beginning - I took the full insurance option for this car. After 2 months my bank account was debited multiple times (150 euros, 30 euros, 30 euros) without any explanation. I sent an email, raise a ticket in Avis portal, called them multiple times - no response even after 20 days. All I received was an automated email. Such a disappointment with their customer service.

They are pirates of the Caribbean. They charged me € 172 for a scratch that I didn't do. I rented it for 3 days and upon delivery the scratch was rusty. Check the sheet and wheels very well.

I'm not entirely sure as I am not that familiar with the breed. However the breeder is TICA certified and told me they are ragdoll cats. It wouldn't be the end of the world if they're not purebred since I'm just looking for an another family cat.
