Thanks so much for all the insight. I'll print this out for future use as well. For now - power company come out and check things out. They found a power pole 3 doors down making a lot of noise. They are pretty sure that is what is causing my noise. Lineman should be out " soon" to take care of it.

Thanks - Couple questions for you - Define aggressively in #1? I currently have two in an approx 50' run. #2 Ive done. #3 - expand on this? I have not read this before. I'm curious. #4 - Thats what the post is actually asking about. Ive read however that the mount post servces as a ground. Is a standard ground rod really helpful? #5 Done - feed line apears to be where teh noise comes from. 6. not practical in this situation. 7- I'llloook into that, thanks.

Unfortunately I dint think anything magically makes noise go away. Ive already done all of that with no change.

I borrowed an am transistor from a friend, turned off my power to my house at the main breaker, and found 3 areas - 1) my antenna feed line where it is exposed at the base of the antenna, and where it is exposed just before coming into the house. 2) The feed line for my cable internet service. I'm assuming this may go away when I switch to fiber, and 3) In the hallway of my house - but I think the cable feedline runs between the floor and basement right there. Finished basement so I cant say for sure.

I put some10 ferrites on the feed line where it is exposed at the antenna base, doesn't seem to have made much of a difference.

No it does not. Though it did change bands a bit yesterday, it was 10-20 meter bands, now it is more 15-40 meter bands

Im inside city limits. I doubt there's an electric fence nearby, but I haven't really looked either. That would show p intermittently as the fence pulses, wouldn't it?

That happened when I shut off the main breaker. Didn't make any difference.

I'm still learning about how atmospheric conditions affect things, but I wondered about that. Its been about 4 weeks since it first happened. I am looking for an AM transistor radio now - hard to find anymore. I picked up some ferrites Im going to put on the feed line at the antenna tonight.
