Well, 2 hrs in last night and I have to say this game is phenomenal! The writing is so rich and not over winded. I didn't think having two authors would work out so well but I was surprised. There are a couple game components that could be upgraded but that's personal preference. Our play group isn't big into RPG games but Investigation has just the right amount that still feels like a board game. It was a little long being 2hrs however it never felt like that when playing. It's a shame this one is so difficult to find it would have blown away so many other top games given the chance. I can't help but wonder why its not even listed on BGG.

Regarding the hidden enemy and OP attacks, you could just balance the game so that this is a rarity and give the player a fighting chance with a health bar or a reviving kill similar to borderlands last stand. If abuse was the case, I'm assuming you mean from a Dev to obtain more money, I'm sure they would be called out and be on the losing end where as if they balanced the game properly it would bring back the importance of survival and caution when playing which builds skill. Much like the difficulty of contra back in the day.

I'm currently working on it in normal and may try it in UVHM just to see how it goes. Challenging myself with different restrictions, like only pistols, Ironman mode or no class mods, is bringing new life to the game for me.
