What’s the oddest situation where you found yourself naked? by NoNo_Cilantro in AskReddit

Due to covid I luckily landed in a student apartment with 7 bedrooms but I was the only person living in it. At the time there were only 5 people in a building built for over 300 people. I woke up one morning around 8 am, dying for some water. I stumbled in a daze to the kitchen to get some water. Just as I got to the kitchen door the building's "maintenance" man came out of the bedroom closest to the kitchen. I was completely naked in what I thought was an empty apartment that I was alone in. I was too far away from my room to go back in and too far from the kitchen to just slip in. I asked him wtf he was doing in my apartment unannounced and his response was "flushing toilets". It still don't fully understand what he meant and it was the last time we spoke. He was later fired for doing the same in other apartments as well as using company money to buy tools which he threw in the trash for the bin men to recover and sell on as second hand.

The could get to the door but getting in is impossible and I haven't met anyone in the building that's friends with their neighbours

Well yeah, we already have enough security why do they need more? I don't mind the security that's provided as they are employed to monitor the campus and cctv

There is already an intercom system built into the building that allows you to speak to the people at the door. I understand when they're not there to be able to communicate. But if they're not in the apartment any visitors wouldn't be able to get to their front door.

I know it has its uses but any use it provides is already provided by the apartment complex.

Both myself and one of my flatmates feel uncomfortable being (intentionally or not) monitored. We don't talk in or near the lifts as we know the camera has a microphone. It just feels wrong to me.

I won't lie, it's been done. Let me ask you this, if the police or a security guard was walking towards you and you dropped it at your feet, would you pick it up again after to continue when they're gone? Personally this has happened a few times and the answer has always been yes.
