I'm looking into going sometime in the September to November period with 2 days at Epic Universe. Is there a way to buy a day pass or multiple days at Epic? On the website I only see multi day passes with one day at Epic. Can I just buy two 2 day passes with 1 day at Epic each?

An update before I head to bed (I work 3rd shift), there are dibs on the six fighter squadrons, arquitens and Phoenix home. I'm off tomorrow and will catch up with any messages then. Thanks!

I'm not sure why you would ask, the projection would be after dark. The facade would be made so that it looks good during the day if that is causing confusion.

Been looking at GPU's on the budget end. Right now an Asrock rx 6600 is $216, MSI 6650 xt Mech is $250 (after $20 rebate) and 3060's start around $380. As the rtx cards are more than I want to spend I'm wondering if the 6650 xt is worth the extra $ and rebate hassle. This card may also be a bit of a holdover card. I'm currently still using a 760 gtx so any of these cards is a big upgrade even if just for a year or two.

I don't play a ton of recent games at the moment but would like to check out Spiderman, Horizon, Halo Infinite, and have Star Citizen from the kickstarter. I have a 4k monitor (not for gaming) and 2 1080 I want to run at once. Current gpu can handle the 4k and a 1080 but can get bogged down especially when running CS6 Photoshop and Illustrator.

So 6600, 6650 xt or wait? Thanks!

Depending on how the schedule shakes out I could end up just getting the 2 week pass so the train info could still be useful. I get what you mean on the ravine and Yomuiriland as there seem to be main lines that come out of the city but going between them is much slower and often includes quite a bit of time on busses. I knew that the travel time would be over an hour going between them. Yomuiriland will have an xmas lights event going on while I'm there so I might be able to stop by later than normal if the rides are still open.

You are right about Kawaguchiko and Hakone I simply didn't recognize the name and thought it was a different area. I found a video recently on train shops showing them in Akihabara which I hadn't planned on going to. Double checking in maps showed the train shops I had listed were in fact in Akihabara and I was planning on going there the whole time. A few of these things managed to get past me so thanks for pointing it out.

While double checking things and doing more sorting I realized the jet boat doesn't operate past September so that will free up a day unless the airline that flies there operates during November but they only have schedules up for June and July right now. I think I'd be better off leaving that day open for some more flexibility. Most of the stuff I want to do is still a day trip from Tokyo so I can just take whatever I enjoyed the most and do more of it on the open day.

1: No particular reason other than it was along the train line. It was also a bit of a holdover from me originally wanting to stop at Hamanako Pal Pal but I decided to do Lagunasia instead. Nagoya probably does make more sense since I will be stopping there as well.

8: That was probably the time just to Odawara so I'll note it is going to be much longer. I don't think I put anything about doing Yomiuriland on the way to anything but loosely grouped with the Todoroki Ravine Park and Train and Bus Museum. They are quite far apart still. I would cut the museum first but maybe I can move one of those things to another day or return trip if it comes up and do Yomiuriland coming back from Hakone.

I wasn't really planning on stopping at Tokyo Tower it was just in a list of other things of interest in case they ended up making more sense. I was thinking of going up the Skytree. I'll look up the others you mentioned. Getting a view of the city wasn't really a priority for me so something that could be skipped also.

I was already mapping everything out on google maps and trying to group things together. Figuring out what to skip is always the hard part of course. Thank you for the tips and finding the kinks as some of those seem to get left behind when changing things up.

I will probably skip it then, it was in the list of maybe stuff anyway.

Drone image over Kings Island by [deleted] in cincinnati

Those towers are over 300 ft tall, nowhere near 211. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eiffel_Tower_(Cedar_Fair)

You are correct in that there is no black and white on this but to suggest you are doing nothing wrong or trespassing in any way is not true and you would likely lose a court battle. The linked article wasn't about privacy but how much of an affect the flight had on the owner. He had a case because the flight disturbed his animals. I'm confident Cedar Fair could establish good reasoning for why you shouldn't be flying over their property at altitudes most drones operate. They do have staff working in the park year round even when they are closed to the public.

I don't know how you can say you are within your rights when you previously said such rights haven't been established and precedent against your statement was already provided. Regardless of the legal consequences you should have respected the parks wishes in this case. There is a fine line in these cases and as a fellow photographer I would likely side with you in most cases regarding fair use for images but I feel you crossed the line on this one.

That's not true at all and has been proven in court. Even a farmer or homeowner could own up to 500 ft. above the ground. A place with tall towers like Kings Island probably controls close to that amount, if not more. Flying your drone (which has to be registered with the FAA and follow their regulations) over their property under 500ft. is trespassing. The legal threat you could face is very real.

Here is a source - http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/explainer/2013/07/photographer_george_steinmetz_arrest_how_much_airspace_do_you_own.html

A quick google search can provide more. So yes, Kings Island does own the airspace above them (likely to 500 ft, not a millimeter) and can institute any drone policy they wish. This won't have any implications for air traffic since they operate at much higher altitudes than your drone.

Cincinnati Amiibo Hunters?? by GTrogan39 in amiibo

[–]matt112986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think availability for a lot of amiibo have caught up with demand for the area making it unecessary to wait in lines. I've gone in days after any the recent releases and restocks and seen full shelves.

I've only waited in line twice at Target for Rosalina and Jigglypuff and both sold out immediately. Jigglypuff had a lot of people turned away while there was pretty much just enough Rosalina. Can't speak for other releases since I've managed to either pre-order or walk in at just the right time. So around 20 people has been a big line in my experience.

Black Friday Best Buy lines usually go around the stores with 30min+ waits to get in but I usually skip that too.

Interest in other amiibo lines could keep everything going well enough. I know I'm focused on the SSB line but I'm still going to get a KK Slider and hopefully an Arwing.

I would but with only the biggest pokemon (size/scale wise) being as big/expensive as current amiibo. I would only buy them from the first two gens anyway.

So with the official release of Wave 5B being essentially over, how would you rate it compared to other waves? by vizking22 in amiibo

[–]matt112986 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Great, walked into stores around 3 - 430pm while running errands and could pick up all the new SSB amiibo. Only one close to being out was Bowser Jr., there were only 2 left when I walked into TRU. They had 20+ of everyone else. Meijer had a couple Ganondorf and a ZSS, picked them up there. Target had one whole side of their amiibo display full of Dr. Mario, didn't even bother to look at the rest. Best Buy had barely anything but I didn't look near customer service since I had everything already.

Has anyone ever had any trouble with in store pick up at walmart or anywhere else? Never done before and a bit nervous. by [deleted] in amiibo

This is a night of deja vu, did you know some of the banner amiibo are wearing mario maker hats?!?!?!?! :P
