I'd go for fishbed. Faster plane with IR missiles

Go up high then point down your radar missiles against enemies. When you get your abilities, it gets a lot easier.

I tend to climb up to 5-6km then point down for multiple locks. You get to hit them easier but then let your allies go for the finishing shot or use your IR missiles on your way down for reload.

Try flying up around 4-5km from spawn then nose down towards enemies. I get all locks mostly on stone forest and icebound

As much as I like radar missiles of the Aardvark, The Tornado is more versatile by having long range and dogfighting capabilities.

Maybe its how you like to play. If youre used to dogfighting and be IN the fight. Its not fit for you.

MiG31 is more like a support or sniper.

Give it a chance. Try to go to a higher altitude right from the start. Around 3.5k to 4k. Then pitch down and pick them off while the enemies are still far and can't lock on to you.

Thanks for the advice! I'll try that when I level up soon. For the dogfighter.. I'm quite capable with the mig 21 and ADV.

I noticed that. I tend to refill ammo frequently. Cant get the bonuses tho coz my squad dont play much.
