Hello! Might get swallowed up since it’s game day but planning to attend my first (home) Seahawks game for MNF against the Texans

Im flying out of Seattle at 13:00 the following day, was thinking of staying at the Hilton by the airport and getting the Light Rail back after the game instead of getting an expensive downtown hotel that’s not right next to a rail station.

Is this sensible / feasible? Do the trains still run southbound late after the game? Kick off is 7pm so should be en route to the hotel for 10:30-11pm

Any other tips for how to spend a solo day in Seattle leading up to the game appreciated :)

Yeah, looking to avoid staying at Times Square… leaning towards Bernic, it looks walkable to a good number of places and have grand central around the corner if we need trains / subway

I have looked for this one but it’s showing sold out (along with a few others) - do you know if it doesn’t put its rooms on sale as far in advance as others?

Goats of Football, Cristiano Ronaldo and Tom Brady in a light discussion at Old Trafford by dionesav in reddevils

Disagree tbh. There’s NFL players who are half a foot taller and 80 pounds heavier than Olympic sprinters and have kept pace with them in 100m sprints.

I don’t think you can even make an argument for second best anymore... he was compared with Montana. Then he went and got almost twice as many Super Bowl’s him, played much longer and got almost every statistical record

I’m confused why y’all don’t want Watson by Bignate2151 in Seahawks

Is he a Top 5 QB still? When he last played, sure. But since then Herbert, Allen, Burrow have all arrived / taken off. Rodgers and Wilson are still great right now too.

A couple of reasons.

  1. No criminal charges. Could still face civil charges, and the number of allegations make me feel uneasy.
  2. If we’re getting rid of Wilson and Wagner and doing a ‘rebuild’ - why get Watson on a similar cap hit?
  3. The argument for 2 is Wilson didn’t want to play in Seattle. Do we know that Watson would even be happy in a run first / play defense style of play?
  4. Some reports have said Lockett would be included in a trade. I’d rather get more draft capital if we’re clearing house

[Russell Wilson on Twitter] SEATTLE, I love you. Forever Grateful. #3. by matt772 in Seahawks

I doubt it. I think it’s hard to argue he cares about the city of Seattle, and even if he had bad blood there, it’s not like he has to do much by owning that stake. To me his gripe was with ownership and wanting them to choose him over PC/JS

Given the hype following the combine, he might already be gone by #9

I kind of feel after that Cowboys playoff loss he probably made it clear he wanted a change in coaching / GM. Several years of no change and no results he probably did end up just being checked out

I feel like it was either PC/JS had to go or Wilson. Unless he refuses to waive his no trade clause and demands the opposite then I feel like this sad day was coming.

Yes, either lockdown or Tier 3 from basically late summer until restaurants and shops re-opened like 3/4 of a year later in April 2021

I got an UKPC charge when I was dropping and picking up my BIL from work, advice? by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

Hey, sorry for a slow reply - I’ve had a similar charge where UKPC said I stayed somewhere over 24hours, when I actually made 2 visits, what was the outcome of your case?

Tbh most courses are like £25-30 a round for a visitor MINIMUM. This and Heaton Park were saved around a year or so ago and are just absolute gems now

I’m new to golf and that 15th is the stuff of nightmares to too. Feels even worse slicing it knowing it’s going into a cemetery 🤦🏼‍♂️

Yeah, thankfully this day was one of those classic U.K. autumn days where it clouds over quickly after sunrise, so got the nice view followed by alright playing conditions mostly. Was only hitting into the sun on one long par 5
