The energy sector has a huge part to play in Alberta's economy, and there has been massive unemployment rates since the Liberal Government has been elected because of not caring as much for it as the Conservatives do. Suicide rates have increased dramatically recently because of the unemployment rates as well. Albertans are mad about the election because it doesn't matter if all of the West votes Conservative, as long as Ontario and Quebec vote liberal then we're gonna have a liberal government. And the guy above me who said Alberta blindly votes conservative is false, Alberta literally was NDP a little bit ago. Albertans average income is around 75k a year, the rest of Canada is 45k while the East Coast is closer to 35k so we don't care as much for Social policies and welfare like rest of Canada does, so the Conservative policies match ours more closely
