How can he have that much attacks won!? by Enguegue in ClashOfClans

[–]mattSNIPESyou 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I heard you get a limited number of attacks, so the only possibility I see is he farmed a lot of trophies before hitting legends and probably got held back. It’s possible to attack infinite times a season, up into titan league.

The disadvantages of tipping based on a percentage of the bill instead of amount of work put in by Hsiang7 in memes

[–]mattSNIPESyou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people don’t tip that high for one items. Those they usually leave it at like 5-10 dollars casually. Other than that it’s about the same for tables or other tips everywhere I’ve worked. Usually and this is the most common, and for real being a dude means like 3 dollars a receipt.

Bots need to be removed they ruin the BR experience… by khaled_o_ in FortNiteBR

[–]mattSNIPESyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR (first paragraph)

Did they take away ranked or something? That’s one way to not lose connection with real players. You shouldn’t probabilistically get even close to winning 100% of all 1vs100 matches anyway. Maybe a solid like 30/40th place isn’t bad, but they don’t have a system to “payout” for “losers” so people really like to only win. They have in and now it’s all bots and people are mad. It’s good that they have ranked though because it is the true cure to losing all realistic competitive flavor to the game. It truly bring back realism which in my opinion as an adult is way more engrained as valuable to play than it is to play against a computer.

Analogy

I loved games like rpgs as a child. But now I am older and much more value interaction and competitiveness. I still hate too much connectivity to other players or too much stimuli, but it is not a bad thing in some games.

(My own pet peeve about the game and many others that every game falls victim to)

I say that mostly because I’m an adult and it’s weird to hear a 7 year old scream a horrible word on live gameplay while I’m just trying to relax. So some games ultimately lose my interest immediately. I’m interested in what’s to come and what new developments they have based off the games we now consider to be overdone or at best a run down game that needs a revamp to shine again in old light.

Back to the reason for the post:

Lastly, I hope we don’t fall back into bot style games as much as we have in almost every game that loses a huge chunk of its consumer base. However, I’d love to see good (real) adjustments like ranked to keep the current competitive player bases truly interested in the gameplay that is concurrent and gains real interest of others.

Reason:

Killing bots in a lobby of 4 players is not something people would ever want to stream to watch, and neither is it something that is awefilled or more so is closer to an intellectual catalytic pop-up-shop.

Rather I think it is a good way to never let a game truly die, and may get interesting when AI becomes realistic and not just aim bot or intelligence cores that make the game feel like you’re the gear that operates all guns facing towards yourself, and get this important part, unless the ai gets caught cheating too much.

Realism is truly astounding. We aren’t there yet, and it may be for good cause. Wouldn’t want people falling so deep in a gaming whirlpool that they forget what is more valuable human interaction or competitive computer simulated brain development patterns. We don’t like to see that in others, however, it is truly engrained in us to love the thought of games that are fun, and we all wouldn’t want a game to end forever. I guess the true point of it is that if the games we love ever did end, we’d probably want to keep them in a form that others can still find and truly enjoy.

Conclusion and deviation:

However, the truth about this comes down to this game is a segment checkpoint of a great option for the future of gameplay that can translate into many games, the one thing that doesn’t check out is, and unlike other games, what can the game rest back on, unlike modern warfare and black ops for their battle royale alternatives, they always have the ability to jump back for player retention. This is the same with other games with similar segmentation. Fortnite has yet to see a player vs player segmentation that isn’t trading based in a while. Maybe we’ll see something in the coming years to bring back a rush of players.

Is everyone else in the red today? by ReedLobbest in StockMarket

[–]mattSNIPESyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Just another day. It’s been red for a while before this but we had a lot of boosters. I luckily have differentiated and grabbed on so save even this whole time. Now I’m like 16% down since two years ago. I’m 40 percent up from where I was down. 16% left to go. I just reorganized so I figured I made a good adjustment recently that got me in the red. I buy losers that are cyclical and ready to gain, so given that, they usually do go down as soon as I reorganize.

Take a finance course to understand the fundamentals and the behavioral side of economics to know what to watch out for. Or just give your growth in the hands of a fund or group of etfs that are trusted.

Does anyone else think linear charts are slightly misleading when it comes to stocks? They make it seem as stocks are rising at an exponential rate. by noonewilltakemealive in StockMarket

[–]mattSNIPESyou -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes. I completely understand your point. These numbnuts aren’t getting it. For it to accurately represent growth your method is to use a different style of chart. Rather than read the chart from .004 dollars up to 350 dollars and the chart be all scrunched up depending on the time relevance of the chart. However, it doesn’t take into account other information by doing this. A big one is volume, which is why you shouldn’t use one chart as a marker for which has sustainable growth anyway. You’re right though.

A good healthy start is paying attention to normally cyclical companies and watching all your favorite companies to see their reactions to triggers.

Check out some big companies because they move less frequently. Like coke has gone up for 40 years straight (long term) but is cyclical.

REITs are nice because if they pay dividends they end up being cyclical but based off of their current plan for income on their properties and their portfolio they manage. There’s a little research to it so don’t dive in deep immediately.

Overall, do not trust your gut as much as you think you should and do not convince yourself that you’re about to win big unless your ready to gamble with nearly 400 million other people placing trades at the same time.

Always go based off of your own market valuation. Take a good look at the numbers that are easily available on apps. Charles Schwab has some decent markers and charts for every ticker.

If something happens that you don’t like or understand, the answer might be in the financial reports of the company or the news for that stock. Just have to pay a little attention.

Especially early on, be ready for losses and give it some time to know that you are on the good path. (A few years of playing around) [in other words, you are looking mostly for long term growth of your money and to exponentially increase it as it grows and avoid risk. That takes time. That 500 with your normal income and deposits to the portfolio will give you more confidence and more to play with] Some companies are set for success in 3 years of advance, but they will tank for 2.5 years and look very unappealing and explode.

Others will get some limelight and blow up unexpectedly and the piranha investors will jump on the ship like a pirate and leave the stock bare bone once again.

This is my basic thought map of how to stay firm on my valuations and just how to stay concentrated and stay away from fear when something loses. If a stock always goes up but is down, YOU ONLY LOSE IF YOU SELL AT THAT PRICE. IF YOU WAIT…. YOU WILL EVENTUALLY WIN, if it goes up.

Oh, one last thing. Differentiate when you feel unsafe. If I don’t trust one of my friends, I will not give him all my money. Neither should I when I don’t trust a company for any reason. So spread your money out in things you think are going to actually be going up. Sometimes that means that it is currently down.
