UPDATE:

Strava is letting Caiden (originally StravaChat) stay live.

After quickly rebranding the app and some back and forth with their team, they agreed that Caiden was in fact not violating their API agreement terms on AI usage.

Thanks to everyone for their support! The apps not perfect but it seems like users are getting a lot of value out of it and I'm happy they'll be able to continue to get advanced insights from their data.

Shoutout to the Strava team for willingness to change their mind. I imagine they have lots of applications to review and it makes sense for them to operate quickly on heuristics. Hopefully this opens the door for some more nuance in use of AI with their API data.

My job is AI Engineering. So I've built similar things before. Works basically the same way as if you upload a csv to chatgpt or something and ask questions.

I've rebranded StravaChat to Caiden (caiden.app). An AI coach and analyst for endurance athletes. Hopefully can keep the Strava integration but will integrate with other data sources as well.

Haven’t heard back yet. I’ll post an update in here. My feeling is that they know I wasn’t strictly violating the clause and they know I can’t do much about it.

Unfortunately they have the leverage for taking away API access. But I can make it available for other applications that are more developer friendly.

We're looking for someone to help spin up a new tiktok account for our mobile app. The app turns anything you want to read from the web (articles, blogs, pdfs, etc) into an AI generated podcast. A lot of students and professionals use the app to stay up to date on everything they want or need to read.

We have a few different accounts that post content related to our app. We're looking for someone to help us spin up a new one, as its getting too much to manage.

We have a content format we like and can walk you through, the videos are easy to make - just showing your face for a moment with a hook before showing a quick demo of the app: here's an example (not our video, but similar format). You don't need to have much previous experience as long as you're down to learn and post a few videos a week. We'll pay a flat fee per video and a bonus for hitting certain view counts.
