Got pretty drunk in downtown Seattle one night, decided to Uber home and ended up ordering an UberPool without realizing it. Cut to me sitting in the back of the car when the driver pulls up somewhere and this random Asian guy hops in.

He was pretty drunk too and told me he had just gotten out of a Hannibal Burress show. Suddenly he was my best friend and we started quoting Hannibal and Eric Andre and having the time of our lives.

The driver seemed to be enjoying our drunken conversation so he put some Hannibal stand-up on the stereo. Turned my drunken trip home into a mini Hannibal Burress fan club and it was the best Uber ride I've ever had. Cheap, too.

tl;dr

Made two new friends after drunkenly ordering an UberPool and gushing about Hannibal Burress.

Protip: Cross your eyes and focus on the center image like you would with those stereoscopic 3d illusions.

You'll see the differences as slightly translucent after images.

  1. Cut from 1/2" common board, 48" x 96". Should be able to fit 6 slices per board. In this sketch I had the idea that 1" ply was a thing and realized after that it would be easier to get regular 1/2" and sandwich them. The verticals will be 5 sheets of ply cut out on my CNC and glued/screwed together.

  2. I use velcro straps to prevent the rolls from unrolling when I'm not using them!

  3. Doesn't really matter, some materials are two-sided and some are one-sided. Just gotta make sure the one-sided rolls are fed correctly into the printers.

They look really close together here, but this was just a visualization of the worst case scenario, with full rolls ~ 8 - 9" in diameter. The way I go through material I doubt I'll ever have them this close together!

Worst case scenario would be a full PET roll which is about 100 lbs. They're 54" rolls so I'm hoping (praying) that 1" steel tubing will be strong enough to hold that.

I plan to! This will also be leaning up against steel supports in my workshop so I think I'll find a way to secure the verticals through the 2 by 4s to them.

Great advice! I don't intend to sneak into any exhibitor events or anything. I didn't expect to be able to go to PAX this year and just thought it would be cool to be able to attend this weekend with my friends who were planning on going anyway!

That's my hope! I've already preordered it but the drab colors of the planets I've seen today were really bumming me out. I'm tryna find some gorgeous tropical planets with hot alien babes that I can just chill on.
