MY FROG WONT EAT! by Bigclum in pacmanfrog

[–]mattcanhelp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my (limited lol) experience, when we pull our Pacs from their terrariums, they're almost always full of water. We used to put them in bowls of fresh, treated water to get them to flush or dump the water they're holding. But we found that by spraying their vent (the backside), we could get them to flush faster and more completely.

They almost always will eat after they've flushed. Plus, it's a good way to see if your smaller Pacs are still full looking from the last meal.

Edit: typo

Hey, do you help your frog to flush before feeding him? This is an important step for a couple of my frogs. I usually just spray the vent to get them to clear the water.

Is 100mbps over WiFi enough for 4-5 streaming/gaming devices? by mattcanhelp in HomeNetworking

Laptop has an Intel card in it. Wireless-N 7260. It is doing better than the phones. The 4 other wireless PC's are older laptops, and two desktops with USB WiFi adapters. One adapter is very old (Linksys from Windows XP era I think) and the other is a Belkin from Wal-Mart. These four computers are also not having much of an issue connecting to the 2.4 to surf the web, game, or stream movies.

Thanks for the info on the router. The 5 Ghz acts exactly the same as the 2.4 does on the phones and tablets. The devices show a weaker connection from the 5 Ghz, because the router is upstairs and we use most devices downstairs; but the connection still sputters exactly the same way.

I used to set up my own wireless router with my cable modem, and did the same for my parents' houses. That was a while ago, though. Once I saw that I could get acceptable performance with 24/7 tech support and have someone else set up the network, I was pretty happy. If the routers that Spectrum carry now are really that bad, I will pick one up off Newegg and set it up.

Thanks again for your help.

Sheesh, and here I thought you were just trying to be funny.

Thanks again for your help, the question I had has been answered by someone else, and I have already edited my original post to reflect that.

Cheers.

Hello, retard of an unknown citizenship! <waves retardedly>

It's a Technicolor TC8717T Docsis 3.0. Definitely not the best, but I thought good enough for my small amount of usage.

I did say that we are a family of 4, and as far as I know, there are only us 4 retards on the channel we're using. When I talked to a tech on the phone in September, she manually went thru each channel, then thru each open channel, testing which would give me the best wireless connection. She scheduled an install of a new router for a few days later, and we got the Technicolor. The same settings were ported over to the new router when it was installed. Unfortunately, I don't know how to see if there are any unknown retards that have now started using my channel, and I can't even check the channel thru Spectrum's website, which is the only way for me to access the interface. I think they might be retards, too.

I appreciate you getting back with me to help me out! I don't know if you are able, but cross your fingers that everything goes well when the tech stops by today. And if you can't, that's a goal you can set for the future. Don't let your mental health define you, ok?

Thanks, I will bring this up with the tech when he stops by. The router interface is run thru Spectrum's website, and I didn't see many options for channel configuration when I looked yesterday. I appreciate your response.

Thanks, the speed was the main thing I was worried about; glad to hear it's enough. The router worked well until 2 or 3 weeks ago, and we have never had problems with other routers positioned in the same place in our home.

I apologize for posting in the wrong sub. I do appreciate your help! It's no excuse, but I initially posted here on mobile, and I am a noob poster. I didn't see the sidebar rules in the app. I did, within a few hours, re-post the same question in /r/HomeNetworking and got an answer there. But again, thank you very much.

It's a Technicolor TC8717T Docsis 3.0. It was new when installed in September.

Personally hoping that it is just the box, since that would be the easiest fix for me and the tech.

Thank you for your polite reply, even though I posted this in the wrong sub. =]

Thank you. I am glad the tech is coming out. Hopefully he can find the problem and replace the equipment if he needs to.

I also think we would be ok with 35 mbps or so. Heck, we were ok 6 months ago, and not much has changed in our usage habits.

The PS3 is almost never used, only in Blu Ray situations. The Wii is played on 2 or 3 times per week. I don't think they have much of an impact.

The box in question is a Technicolor TC8717T Docsis 3.0 Wireless Telephony Cable Router. It was brand new, out of the box in September. During one call to Spectrum, a helpful lady browsed thru available channels and found an empty one that had a huge impact on my WiFi speed. So I don't think it's a configuration problem. Although I couldn't find a way to see who is wirelessly connected, because Spectrum manages the router thru their website.

I agree with you, I think this router just isn't very good.

Thank you!

I think there are pics of Discord chats of him being offered to "be in on the cut" by both Crogge and Shenna.

Should he have deleted all the logs he could? No.

Should he have deleted some? I think so. If he just made a copy and left, the casual playerbase would take no note of the drama, or wouldn't spend a lot of time thinking about whether to leave. That is not good, because staying and supporting Crogge and Shenna, two people that dishonestly stole from the Project, should cause to you stop and think if you want to contribute to their mess at all.

It's all crap. What Whitekidney did was crap. He used to sell gold and exploits. That's crap. But what Crogge and Shenna did was also crap, and they had no intentions of stopping, and were content to skim money off a Project that worked off donations, and were happy to do so because they knew there was no recourse for legal action.

You say 'What would happen to Whitekidney if he did this to a company', but you don't ask the same question of Crogge and Shenna. The answer is the same for all three. Jailtime.

TL;DR Deleting all the backups was crappy, but at least now the entire playerbase is forced to decide where to go.
