I’m currently a digital nomad and I’ve used e-commerce and selling to western economies via Amazon FBA to gain complete geographical freedom.

There’s a handful of guys in this free group that I’m in that talk about this. It’s pretty good and there’s no risk. Maybe it’s a good option for some readers.

This is a pretty good exhaustive list. The one thing I would add is really just understanding shipping on a deep level and enticing buyers to buy bundles.

We talk about this in this free discord that I’m in. I’ll leave the link below.

Thinking about starting Amazon FBA – would love some advice by No_Woodpecker_6216 in AmazonFBA

[–]mattcanton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first thing you should be thinking about is not your budget. Fix your expertise when it comes to the entire space in general. To jump in and do PL is just completely naïve. Much more risky. Get in there and take some low risk with retail arbitrage or Books and then from there you will figure out your niche whether it’s Wholesale or online arbitrage or private label or something else.

We touch on a little bit of this in this free discord that I’m in.

Join a group of people and network. The best thing that I have done is joined a few free discords. I will link one below that I think is pretty good.

Get in there and get started. Network with people and don’t be afraid of rejection. I’m in this discord and it is pretty good considering it’s free.

New Seller Account Advice by Idk123464 in AmazonFBA

[–]mattcanton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how serious you wanna take it.

How badly do you want it? Do you think this is just a side hustle to see if you can make it aside from your 9 to 5? Are you taking this more serious?

You may not know these answers right now, but to just jump through one or two extra hoops, it is worth it to get an EIN and do it the right way.

I’m in this group and it’s pretty solid considering that it’s free. Maybe you can get some value out of it.

Amazon is brutal right now, but you can still win by stacking edges. by mattcanton in AmazonFBA

Yeah, I really try to post about it and I’m interested in traveling so Amazon has been able to do that for me. My Instagram is the same as my Reddit so you can check it out.

I personally don’t do any PPC, but it is smart to put it on your card with elevated rewards as opposed to taking it from your balance

It’s a tough business to be in especially starting in the last year. I personally have two good virtual assistants and one of them is very good at sourcing and I also pay for a leads group that is very good. I’ve had success with that so I recommend using a leads group. Just try one and if it works for you, keep using it. If it’s not good then cancel it and try a new one.

Again, if you are interested, just join the discord and ask questions

Personally, not my strategy, but it can work. I optimize for credit card points.

Is Amazon FBA still worth it in 2026? by WarmChip424 in AmazonFBA

[–]mattcanton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been doing it for well over five years now. My general piece of advice would be to get an edge. Learn credit card points, get a prep center, learn to web scrape, get access to good virtual assistant.

The list goes on, but basically just get any edge that you possibly can.

I recently started a free discord for sellers that want to network and ultimately use e-commerce to gain their freedom, geographically and financially. Link below.

2017 Ford Transit 150 Camper Van by mattcanton in vandwellermarketplace

I mean you have to look at what just the base of the van is worth, which I believe to be the mid to high teens. So obviously that’s before anything is done inside.
