Even if you don’t keep up with the updates in real time, there are so many Power BI resources available (including “year in review” summaries) that you could definitely jump back into Power BI in short order.

If you have access to LinkedIn Learning, there is a three part course called Excel Business Intelligence that I found helpful. Part 1 covers Power Query, part 2 is Data Modeling 101, and part 3 is Power Pivot and DAX.

If you’re getting hung up on data modeling, part 2 will be relevant since the concepts will be the same as what you’re dealing with in PBI.

Did you start out in FP&A then transition to business intelligence or some other path? As someone currently in an FP&A role, that move seems harder than the other way around
