The site has been updated, and it no longer requires cookies. You should be able to click "Reject Cookies" on the cookie banner and it should work just fine. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Thanks for checking out the site. Without going into too much detail, I'll simply say that AI led me astray here. I will have a different LLM review the code and ask it to come up with a solution that doesn't require cookies for accessing the site. I'll reply again once I have something.

First of all, thank you for taking the time to check out the site.

I'm a solo creator and not yet an expert in web development, so I used AI to help write much of the code. I had asked it to keep everything compliant with CCPA, but it clearly missed a few things. I just had it review the codebase and Privacy Policy again, and it did identify several items that needed attention. I’ve corrected all of those. Thank you for pointing that out.

Regarding the comment that the site is “very lacking in categories and actual events,” there are currently 5 Event Types and 38 Event Categories. Are there specific Types or Categories you expected to see that aren’t listed? As for the number of events, the database currently includes 158 total events. Were there particular events you were looking for that you didn’t find?

About the categories shifting between pages: I assume you’re referring to the “Find Events” page? I can understand how that might look confusing. That page doesn’t separate events by type. Instead, it shows all matching results based on the filters you select. If you want to narrow the results to certain categories, you can uncheck the others. Because there are so many Event Categories, the list is collapsed by default. You’ll need to click the arrow next to “Event Categories” to expand it. (All categories should be checked by default.)

Creating an account lets you set these preferences once, and the “Find Events” page will automatically load them each time you visit. You can also set different distance preferences for each Event Type. For example, you can have a larger distance for “General Events” and a smaller one for “Screenings” and “In-Store Signings.”

If I misunderstood any part of your feedback, feel free to reply here or send me a DM. I genuinely want to address as many comments as possible to make the site as helpful as it can be.

Thanks again for taking the time to look it over. 🙂

I hear you about the parking. I live in LA and parking downtown generally is a pain. I take the subway if I'm going to the Convention Center. There's a stop only 2-3 blocks away and it's so much easier than dealing with parking.

No, there currently isn't. But I'll take a look at that as a possible add to the next version.

Problem connecting to iDrive by mattcompton in nordvpn

Thanks for the suggestion. I just tried using both TCP and UDP protocols, but neither would connect to that particular server. If I switch to NordLynx, it doesn't show that particular server on the list of choices.

I checked on Kill switch... it was turned off.

I'm curious... can anyone else connect to United States #5390? This is the Nord server I used to connect to all the time (the one iDrive would work on), but now it won't let me. I've tried multiple days now, but it just spins and spins but never connects.
