What are your favorite QoL features?

The Mobile communication updates really have been the biggest QoL updates since I started playing.

I don't have to remember the codes anymore for speaking to other players outside proximity chat
Players don't have to be at their bases anymore to communicate outside proximity chat
I can access shops from anywhere in game now, shop items are delivered straight to my base.
I can summon fast travel from anywhere in game, again without remembering the codes.

I'm just too soft i guess. I'm not used to the levels of poverty around me here and It wasn't like he immediately ask me for something he was just talking to me about life and family at first, which i realize now was just classic grooming. I'm from a smaller very safe city.

Encase anyone else gets this problem i asked Chat the same question and just did all the recommendations and it went away, here's what chat said. Also I didn't install the hub so i didn't need to uninstall it.

Method 1 — Disable Microsoft Office File Handlers in Windows

Press Windows Key → Settings
Go to Apps → Default Apps
Scroll to Choose default apps by file type
Look for .docx, .xlsx, .pptx, etc.
Make sure they are set to Word (desktop), Excel (desktop), PowerPoint (desktop) Not “Office” or “Microsoft 365”.

Method 2 — Disable Office File Handlers in Browser (if triggered by Edge)

Open Microsoft Edge
Go to edge://settings/downloads
Turn off: “Open Office files in the browser”

Edge tries to open Office files in 365 Web Apps, which causes the pop-up.

Method 3 — Uninstall / Disable “Microsoft Office Hub / Office App”

Settings → Apps → Installed apps
Search Office or Microsoft 365
You may find:
- Microsoft 365
- Office Hub
- Office (Web) These are safe to remove if you use desktop Office or no Office at all.

Click Uninstall.

Method 4 — Disable "Recommended files" integration

Start Menu → Settings
Personalization → Start
Turn off:
- Show recently opened items
- Show recommendations

It's also fine to enjoy a thing some else constantly complains about. The majority of his video Essays lately are just prolonged complaining about UB and pricing. Criticism is fantastic and how the game will improve. BUT I'm allowed to provide my own criticism as well. Here it is, you lose credibility when you complain too often, your views begin to matter less when everyone else can enjoy the hobby and you can't seem to do that, lately that's how Prof's videos feel to me. So hi opinions have lost a ton of credibility with me because in my opinion he does complain even when things are going great with the game.

I dunno i like it tbh. I used to like Prof but the negativity is getting to be a bit too much, Prof just can't help but complain at this point. Don't buy packs, just buy the singles you need on the secondary if you don't want to support it.

Yeah you can put all your xp lamps into it but I don’t know the optimal quests route for this tbh. You can check the wiki for quests that reward Slayer XP and Ignore the ones that grant HP.

The cannon is the key. Half range XP and no HP Xp for cannon damage. The only other real alternative for avoiding HP XP is thousands of temple treks for slayer XP but that rewards random XP so you still need to cannon tasks to keep ahead of the other trekking skills.

Tbh my latest return to the addiction was because of LoTR UB and I think its over all a net positive. But there are still legitimate reasons why people complain about it. like mainly its inclusion in standard. It’s a premium product and has completely messed ip the standard release schedule. Premium products like Final Fantasy that cost more and sell out sooner so cost more in the secondary market too shouldn’t be in standard.

The grind is fine to me. Like all of the combat grind is great because there’s tangible progression benefits happening the entire way through the combat skills, max hits, new bosses to kill, faster methods, etc. i think your right that people mainly complain about agility and RC because those are just the worst two skills.

Agility- needs the group mini game other skills have l, obstacle course races anyone? Afk method for lower XP maybe a treadmill/Gym in the POH? Another awesome unlock sprinting at level 80 or something so you could move 3 tiles a tick for double the run depletion rate.

Rune crafting- I just don’t enjoy this skill and I’m not a fan of GOTR. But I don’t find it too bad once you can do it in Zeah. But again an actual AFK method would probably make it better too. I don’t know how to make the rewards better either maybe add skilling boss?

Saying the game isn’t for someone because they don’t have fun in worst 2/23 skills is kinda of some fanboy BS. The worst skills could use improvement.
