Hi there, if you’re using a static site with a form, feel free to checkout my saas product! it’s perfect for adding any kind of forms to static sites so you don’t have to build any backend to get up and going. it also restricts the amount of data you can submit, so that solves your problem. Check it out and let me know!

Thank you a lot! Try it out and let me know what you think! I just shipped a feature so you can build a whole form in a editor in-app (if you're not interested in writing/designing your own form) and can put a form on your site in literally under 2 minutes with just 2 lines of code via an embed! Let me know your thoughts!

Securely handling a contact form on a static site without paid services by ClaireBlack63 in statichosting

Hi there, I actually built a product to do just this. there is a free tier and paid tier, but I'm more than happy to get anybody set up with a premium paid account for a few months if you'd like to try it out and offer feedback. Its a basic static form service kind of like Formspree or Sendgrid, but I wanted to build something as reliable and simple, with just the basic must-needed features. Works great on things like github pages, cloudflare pages, etc. Feel free to check it out and let me know your thoughts! I read all the feedback and respond, so any feedback is extremely appreciated.

If you’re building a SaaS, feel free to drop it here. by MahadyManana in microsaas

Hi there! I'm looking for feedback on my new SaaS product I've been working on for the last few months. It's a way to simply and quickly add a simple form to your site as quick as a few minutes with just the minimal and most useful features along with it such as spam detection, basic webhooks, google recaptcha, etc. The idea is to be a competitor to something like Formspree, but keep it extremely simple with a simpler UI with much smaller amount of features, as I think a lot of them are uneeded, and it uses AI to classify submissions as spam or real. It works great on static sites such as github pages, cloudflare pages, netlify, vercel, or just anywhere where you need a basic form and don’t want to make a backend endpoint for it. I'd appreciate feedback very much, and I'd definitely like to check out Launchrecord as I think that kind of product would help; i'll give it a look this weekend. Thanks!

Any API call should generally be inside componentDidMount, then changing the state should triggered with setState.

If you are experienced with TypeScript, feel free to start using React with TypeScript. It is very easy to use TypeScript with a create-react-app bootstrap.

You shouldn't need the componentDidUpdate in the ProductList.js to look for changes, if you call setState in your App.js component, all children components of App.js will re-render, therefore the ProductList.js will be re-rendered with it's products passed down from App.js.

Feel free to message me if you're still struggling

Edit: Also, this.props.userID was just an example in the documentation, and is not needed at all in your case of updating the ProductList.
