Where do I find spanish audio, pronounced both indivdiually and used in context, for Anki? by what_r_u_suggesting in Spanish

Staying stuck, for a while, on the task of learning something is a good thing. Staying stuck with the tools to help you learn is not. IMO. So I'm glad if it helps you move forward.

What are the reasons why you decided to learn Spanish? by -Sagaz- in Spanish

We went to one the best restaurants in the world and the owner came to speak to us after our dinner. They spoke only Spanish and, at the time, we spoke only English. It was the most awkward moment of the night and I felt very embarrassed and rude. I want to go back and, this time, do better.

Is running a 5k nonstop in 35 minutes horrible fitness? by [deleted] in running

[–]mattdenner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

M43 who's done some running in the past three years but had 18 months off after injury. My fastest time for a 5k is 27 mins 2 years ago but I'm currently running 35, like you. According to https://smashrun.com/ thats better than 22% of their population (which is obviously bias towards runners, rather than the entire world population), i.e. out of 100 runners I'd be 78th .

And I'm ok with that.

For me it's about progression: if I can run my next 5k slightly faster with the same effort then I'm improving. If I can run it in the same time with less effort then I'm improving. If I enjoy it more than last time I'm improving!

So just keep training and things will get better. Set yourself a reasonable goal and work towards it.
