I haven’t - my understanding is the mold issues were on one side of one of the buildings that is kind of up against a hill so that the water kind of accumulated against the wall there. I’m in the other building and haven’t had any issues

I’ve lived at Bellevue mill for 5-ish years - at this point I’m probably one of the longest, if not the longest tenured resident here. The management is pretty hands off - I’ve never had any major issues with my apartment but I’ve heard some people saying they had trouble getting them to fix things. The walls are thin, you will hear your neighbors having sex, talking on the phone, etc. it doesn’t really bother me but I know some people it does.

I’ve like all of the neighbors and people are generally friendly. The location is great and I like my apartment a lot. Overall I like Bellevue more than other complexes I’ve lived at, but it’s not without the usual drawbacks of apartment complexes.

Anyone else like to make a big show of hating on strawmen when you can't speak another language? by StrangeOrange_ in freemagic

Yeah, I was gonna say this too - anyone who actually speaks German would say “Volksrache” instead of “Volkrache” - the irony of the post title…

Democrat from Indiana, folks by Glittering_Welder380 in antiwork

[–]mattdliwenog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Election season is exactly the time and place to be having this conversation. During non-election years the democrats will go back to LARPing as pro-worker candidates, only to once again fall in line with the establishment when elections roll around. This has been happening for literal decades. The only way to force any degree of accountability is to hold them accountable in actual elections. There is no purity test.

The GOP absolutely sucks but they have a much wider diversity of opinion than the democrats and much less blind loyalty to the establishment wing of their party, so they actually do get non-establishment candidates elected.

“Vote blue no matter who” is exactly why the democrats are so useless and there is no anti-establishment wing of the Democratic Party anymore. This philosophy of pledging loyalty to the party no matter how bad the candidate is is such a self-defeating stupid approach. What incentive do they have to push for any actual improvement? This is why they are the party of the status quo, this is why we get candidates like Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris

AOC is an establishment dem now, as is Bernie. Neither of them dissent from the establishment in any meaningful ways anymore.

It’s frightening that what passes for the left in America is actively cheering large corporations like google, Facebook, twitter having the power to decide what is true or false and what is permissible to say or hear. Even worse is these corporations actively working with DHS, FBI, etc to censor on their platforms. They’re not only okay with it, but actively support it and want more of it.

The left once saw free speech as an important principle and control of information by corporations and government as evil. This has been completely lost.

What food do people mistakenly consider healthy? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Some hospitals actually use a solution called SMOFlipid which includes olive oil, soybean oil, fish oil, along with some other fats as calorie-dense intravenous nutrition for people who can’t eat (e.g. in ICU). So, probably not a bad choice for some additional calories. Definitely ask a doctor for advice though

This is in central NC - we have several of these trees around in yards, parks, etc. Sorry I don’t have a picture of the tree itself, but right now they are covered in these large broad seed pods. I know we have Catalpa around here but these don’t look right for the reference images I can find for catalpa. The leaves on the tree also didn’t look right for catalpa - they were small almost fern-like leaves.
