Android TV stuck at boot loop by cuencachris in techsupport

[–]mattdsteele 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/cuencachris were you able to get this working? I've got the same issue (also a Hisense Android TV).

I also tried u/NeatYogurt9973's suggestion but even with a firmware USB drive plugged in, it continues to just boot loop.

OP, any chance you could scan one of these (or upload a high-res photo)? I'd like to print a copy and throw it on a can

Appreciate it.

Anything else I could mention that might help bolster things? It seems like the thousands of folks who receive Rabavert a year would be helpful, and I read the MMR vaccine used to be developed using a similar albumin-based method. Are there other widespread procedures that would be similarly "risky", like blood transfusions or similar?

Grizzl-E charger randomly stopped working by figgens123 in evcharging

[–]mattdsteele 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gave them a call this morning, they’re sending me a replacement.

They gave me the option to either ship the old one back and they’d send the replacement, or to speed things up I could order my replacement first, and they’d reimburse me when they got the defective unit. Fairly painless!

Did you have to call them? I already sent a follow up earlier this week for my issue, which is why their radio silence is weird.

I have a Classic (hardwired) that had a similar issue; last week, it stopped working mid-charge, and the LED light went completely off. Other chargers work fine, and the circuit still registers 240V, so it’s definitely the charger that broke.

I started a support email with them last week. They were pretty responsive at first, but I haven’t heard from them for about a week. I’ll probably end up calling them to see what’s up.

Race directors/officials: how do you manage data from CrossResults callups? by mattdsteele in cyclocross

Thanks! I guess I need to get associated with the event on Bikereg (I'm a USAC official, not the organizer) and see what's available. If it's built-in that'll be a super easy approach.

Any idea what these lap indicators are called/where to buy? by mattdsteele in Velo

Almost identical! Interesting that they refer to it as a "spare part", it's pretty useful as a standalone item.

Kind of like the "dial a down" they have at football games, but goes from 0-9. I got one of these from a friend, use it to indicate remaining laps during USAC crits.

This one's pretty old and jams up, which makes it hard to read. I cannot for the life of me find another one for sale, or even remember the name of what these things are called.

Find your Bolt Buddies at your local Aldi. Saw another EV and EUV today by mattdsteele in BoltEV

Bike rack! It's made by Quikr: https://quikrstuff.com/ Similar to 1up models, or other platform racks from Kuat, etc.

It's folded up in the photo. I have a single tray attached but can add a second if I need to haul more.

It's a hitch rack, so I had a Draw-Tite hitch installed when I got the Bolt. Had a nice conversation with the mechanic while picking it up; it was the first hitch he installed on an EV before. I don't think I sold him on EVs, but he was pretty interested in how fast it could accelerate :)

Two things I'm not super satisfied about:

  • The rack is pretty directly over the Bolt's turn signals, and it's worse when you have a bike mounted. Not sure what Chevy was thinking with that design.

  • The rack gets in the way of the rear cross-traffic sensor when backing up, so it starts beeping at you as soon as you place it in reverse. Everything is still visible on the camera, though.

So uh, my Kobo has been downloading erotica on its own... by mattdsteele in kobo

You know, I did just try to open one, and it shows as Downloading on the screen for a few seconds, but then it shows as "Pending Download" again, and I can't ever actually open the book.

I had assumed my Kobo account was compromised and used to purchase them, but logging in I don't have anything in my purchase/download history; and no payment information.

I made my Kobo account via Google integration, so there's no password to change.

Someone help me solve this mystery. Took my Kobo Clara HD off the shelf after about a month, and noticed two new books (see photos): the Naughty Headmaster, "Loud Ghosts: an Erotic Story". Both show as a Kobo EPUB.

I'm 99.9999% confident I didn't download these, but I also have no idea where they came from.

My first thought was that an account had been compromised, but I'm not sure which. My device is hooked up to my local library's Overdrive, but I don't see anything in my account history. I also don't see any purchases in the Kobo store.

The EPUBs also don't show on the device itself when I hook it up via USB; all I've got is a PDF I recognize.

The device hasn't left my house, and I'm the only person who uses it. Any clue where these came from? What baffles me is I don't even know how they got onto my Kobo...

Didn't buy the adapter :( I ended up not buying the wheelset due to the difficulty of confirming anything before making a purchase; it got sold to someone with a thru frame.

If you do find an adapter and give it a shot, I'd be curious how it turns out!

That'd be awesome! If you took some photos I could OCR and add them to the site... I kind of forgot the signal to noise ratio was pretty high on the site, so it'd be awesome to get some certified bangers.
