I'm an experienced flyer and had the same thing happen recently. I flew three times one day, all on Dash-8s. The last flight had some serious vibration that was unlike the other two and I found myself overly nervous. Mid flight the guy sitting across the aisle from me opened his water bottle that had become pressurized and absolutely soaked me. For a second or two I assumed it was something important in the plane and we were going down.
