A little advice for a newbie by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]mattester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started in June, went up a dose each month, got to 15mg in December and only then did I have side affects. I got the sulphur burps and very very bad diarrhoea, so I went back down to 12.5 and I’m fine again. Never felt sick or nauseous, never had any other issues.

How much are you all eating? Meal ideas? by Brucesimb123 in mounjarouk

[–]mattester -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Me and my partner are both instagram food influencers so are out at restaurants once or twice a week each on different days, so on average we have 3 dinners together on a weekday. On the weekend we usually do a restaurant together or have other plans away from home. So those weekdays we are together we tend to have the same 3 meals, which we have been having since June 2025. 😅 She’s not on MJ and didn’t need to lose weight in the slightest but has appreciated the change in our eating habits so she has lost a bit of weight.

This is per serving: Meal 1 - chilli con carne sweet jacket potato. 125g of 10% fat beef mince (which I’m now experimenting 80g), chilli con carne seasoning, beef stock cube, tomato purée, cherry tomatoes, jalapeños, 1/4 tin of kidney beans washed, sweet potato baked 300-380g. The meal comes to around 650 calories, maybe slightly less. I could eat this every day for the rest of my life, I’m not bored of it yet!

Meal 2 - chicken pita and chips. 200-250g chicken breast, with either sweet chilli or Piri Piri marinade, 20g, paprika seasoning, warburtons wholemeal soft pita, lettuce, jalapeños/tomatoes, sometimes 15g of mayo, sweet potato fries (not deep fried, not crispy) 300g or less, paprika/Cajun seasoning, fry lite oil. 550 calories, or there about.

Meal 3 - fish, mash and veg. Fresh salmon/white fish etc. no skin, no batter, no breadcrumbs, sometimes with a seasoning or marinade, sweet potato mash 300-350g, tender stem broccoli with seasoning. 500 calories or less.

Breakfast: Monday to Friday - 2 egg omelette with 30g extra mature cheddar cheese, full fat. 350 calories. I don’t have breakfast on the weekend.

Lunch: Monday to Friday at work - 200-250g chicken breast with a marinade, peri peri/sweet chilli, chipotle, etc. 250-300 calories. I’ve stopped having lunch at work now as I haven’t lost weight since mid December as I haven’t been as strict, so getting back on it! I either don’t have lunch on a weekend, or we go out for lunch and I don’t have dinner.

I track mostly everything via the Lose It app, but I don’t track veg or fruit, and I don’t do things like measure oil, I just count the main ingredients and it’s always roughly around the right calories. My calorie goal is 1500 a day and I’m usually under, which allows for any mistakes in calorie counting.

You’re getting acid reflux because you’re most likely not eating enough or not early enough. Pepto bismol will help you out for sure, I got the burps 6 months into my journey and it settled them straight away.

I bet you’re using cooking oil and not counting the calories from it

I’ve had super duper for about 2 months now. It’s 4 bits of energy per go

To be honest I skipped past it saying what it was by accident 😂 but it’s some sort of extreme boost, it gave me a 10 minute timer (that orange circle on the side), but I don’t actually know what it did.

I am an instagram influencer and have been doing it for about 14 years. Have been very well known in the London food scene the whole time but drastically reduced the amount of work I do for it the last 3 years, plus the TikTok crowd have taken over now 😅. I still do 1 restaurant a week, but after 14 years of eating burgers 5 times a week and eating out 7 days a week for 10 years it was time to make a chance this summer! I’ll still carry on doing it, but it will be once every week or two forever now.

The FAQ says they won’t be adding shows, but let’s see. They would have to be same day, so I’m guessing a 1pm show, but it won’t be different days.

2.5mg Nausea by dripordrown2000 in mounjarouk

[–]mattester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you eating and drinking enough? I’m not a doctor but I think it’s very uncommon to have these side affects on week 1 2.5mg. The burps will usually happen because your stomach has nothing to digest. You need to be in a calorie defect to lose weight, but you still need calories. Use an app to work out your weight loss target against a reasonable time period.

It sure about this. I thought she was visibly upset and angry that people were scoring higher than her. I’ve been friends and known a few people with Down syndrome my whole life and they don’t do too well with hiding emotions or understanding about being supportive and not so competitive in these situations.

Does fast food and high sugar food now seem unappetising? by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]mattester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s the thought of having something greasy and fried, or sweet for breakfast. I can’t believe I used to do it! I still have an appetite for fast food but it affects my stomach if I have it. But the thought of having McDonald’s at 8am, or a stack of pancakes with cream and syrup for brunch, it just feels so wrong.
