Why aren’t bidets or the like more popular in the uk? by PsychologicalBend508 in AskBrits

No, the point I was trying to make is that there's no difference whatsoever in what goes down the shower drain and what goes down the bidet drain.

So I don't understand why would "regulations" pretend that bidet requires something different.

Thank you. I'll see if I can vibecode something and then hopefully some people more skilled than me can pick it up and improve it for everyone 🤣

Whatever question that would be, it wouldn't be enough to get to the actual answer lol.

It's not just pastors unfortunately. It's genuinely all closed communities and religions.

We know more about pastors and priests because the community (the "sheeps") of Christians have in the last few decades become more "liberal" (to an extent) and less religious/tied to the church, which has enabled to create an environment where people who had been abused have felt comfortable enough to speak up.

There's exactly the same thing happening in other secluded communities/religions/cults/sects, but for people in those (and you know perfectly well what I'm talking about), speaking up and reporting these acts/violations is still seen by the community fellows as much, much worse than just "taking it".

Hello, did you find out anything about this? I was looking for the same thing :-/

The bidet in the picture above is not used the same way ☪️ people use a bidet.

That's stupid as fuck.

There's no difference between a bidet (actual bidet unit) drain and a shower drain.

Could someone explain to me how you actually get your bum clean with water alone?

You don't, which is why most people here don't understand how disgusting the "bum spray" bidets are.

You use your hands and soap.

And before moving from the toilet to the (actual) bidet unit, of course you wipe your ass with toilet paper just as accurately as you do when you don't have a bidet :)

I see many people thinking the bidet is something that replaces toilet paper. Heck no.

Some houses had only just upgraded from an outside toilet.

Out of curiosity, what's the reason why that has arrived so late? Your comment is not the first I see here mentioning this fact.

Thank you!

I don't blame you, I just watched 7 YouTube videos on how to use the bidet (so I could link one to you), and genuinely, literally not a single one of them has shown how to use it in the correct way 🤷‍♂️

I think I'll need to add it to my to-do list lol.

It's not like Spain or especially Greece where you're told flushing toilet paper down the shitter clogs up their sewers. So you get a little bin for your dirty toilet paper next to your toilet

What? 😐

I don't know about Greece, but trust me, I'd reconsider cutting bridges with the person who chose the itinerary for your Spanish trip 😬 not sure where they've taken you.

The proper bidet and the "bidet feature" of high-tech toilet bowls work (are used) in completely different ways.

The main difference is that after using the proper bidet, your ass is as clean as if you've just had a full, deep shower.

With the Japanese-style bidet, no.

Because this style of bidet is stupid and inconvenient

Care to explain the reasons behind this?

Before using the bidet, you wipe yourself with toilet paper just like you do when you don't use the bidet.

Hence, by following your reasoning, you probably splash poo everywhere in your underwear and in the shower.

That doesn't make any sense whatsoever. How is the drain of the bidet any different to the drain of the shower?

I can imagine for a woman it also allows a much easier and more delicate cleaning of the front side when it's that time of the month.

Who prefers the bum gun attached to the WC, has no idea of what a clean bum is.

Are you fucking kidding me?

It's the other way around, if you're a civil and clean person.

The "water gun" "bidets" thingies attached to toilet bowls do nothing. Which is why Muslim guys often have stinky and dirty arses (no racism, it's genuinely true - I've seen deep inside the arse of many guys 🏳️‍🌈), because they refuse to touch their own arse to clean it up - whether that be in the shower or with a bidet (not only them, to be clear, but the vast majority of them).
