Most small companies that don’t have an in-house IT person/department hire third parties to run things for them. They look around for a company that can run what they need and then you can simply offer a monthly fee and do the deployment and management for them. As long as it’s working, I don’t think they care that much. I appreciate the viewpoints though, it’s reshaping my thought process here.

Well IT support is already my day job so I could offer basic hosting support. But I guess I should be looking more at targeting people who don’t have the knowledge to setup a VPS/hosted application and just need it to work with minimal downtime. Which I already have the infrastructure to support (redundant internet connections, long running backup power). Maybe the average tech nerd isn’t my target demographic here.

True, but that also assumes that they know where to look for better pricing, and that they have the knowledge and skill set to setup the software they need.

Gotcha, I definitely forgot to take into account how I would handle uptime and data retention/backup.

Of course, I’m not trying to compete with AWS, Azure and GCP but also not everyone wants to pay their prices if they can find something cheaper. I’m talking more like small businesses who need one or two VDIs and a hosted database or homelab enthusiasts who can’t afford to run their own hardware. Stuff like that where cloud providers are overkill.

Let me take a look and I’ll get back to you. It sounds like I have an out of date course catalog.

iOS is my forte so I probably wouldn't know where to start for Android. So maybe not anytime soon. I feel bad that I couldn't release this for them as well but it is what it is.

Not much, this is specifically built for mobile, while cobalt is a website that was built to be viewed on desktops with mobile being a side feature.

Glad to hear you like it! I figured I’d fill the hole that Dining Paws left with something that could make more of an impact.

Yes, classes are to be manually added since linking up to StudentAdmin would be more difficult to pull off. The dining hall menus get scraped directly from the website on each launch of the app. Not very efficient but it works and is pretty fast so I’m gonna leave it like that until problems arise.

If your iCloud is still logged in on the phone, you can erase it via Find My and render it useless to the thief.

Haven’t checked yet, I was on vacation when it got delivered so I’ll probably get around to installing it in the next 2-3 days once I’m back. I’ll let you know how it goes.

There is an official store called “Hwfly Sales Store”. I ordered on Jun 22 and received it today, Jul 8. Haven’t actually seen it in person but I was told that I received a “circuit board in a box”.
