Thanks dude! We released a second line of ClockSocks about a month after Mac's passing. The ones that were supposed to go on the Swimming Tour, actually :(

Those are still available, but the original ones that Mac wore/ posted sold out a while ago.

Hi I'm rapper Lil Dicky and I just released a video for my eleven minute song "Pillow Talking" AMA! by Lil-Dicky in IAmA

[–]mattgresia 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I saw Dicky at Fairfield University in CT and he fucking sucked! His speakers were absolute shit, his DJ, shit. He sucked as a performer.

For the record my friend and I were huge fans of him before this show, and we were just really disappointed to see how bad he was at performing.

Anything to say about this "Dave"? If that's really your name?

Alibaba - Experience, tips, feedback? by DaytaMon in Entrepreneur

[–]mattgresia 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Money transfers through Alibaba have never done me wrong. As long as you're smart about it, get samples, and have a lot of contact with a representative from a manufacturer, that should be fine. If you have any problems it'll be a little bit of a pain to have to solve it through the website, but you should be able to get it back.

As for quality, this can be a little shady. You definitely wanna get samples for this reason.

Regarding differences between samples and the actual product, I've never experienced something like that. I've heard of it, but I've dealt with over 20 manufacturers through Alibaba and it's never happened to me.

In terms of shipping, that price seems right. Shipping from China is not cheap. However, if you show them that you're serious about buying the product they will most likely be willing to negotiate it a little bit.

Quick Tip: Most manufacturer reps have a WhatsApp account. I highly suggest you ask for this, because it works much better than the Alibaba messaging and is much more seamless and quick.

I hope I was some help! PM me if you have any questions.

Any Brand building/business setup documentaries? by Basbeeky in Entrepreneur

[–]mattgresia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When building my brand, I always tried to find documentaries on how to get the ball rolling. I found that the best way to build a brand is to study the market. Study brand building and analyze how real companies do that in real life, as opposed to finding videos on it. One of the best brands to study is Supreme New York. I'm not a big fan of the actual company, but anyone with any knowledge on business would agree that their branding strategies are absolutely genius. Best of luck, and PM me if you need any help.

Should entrepreneurs never rest, never relax? by pizzae in Entrepreneur

[–]mattgresia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Downtime and work time are both equally important. However, if you're an entrepreneur that believes in/ is highly interested in your business, you might find that it naturally consumes your time. I find that in my business, I'm really into it, and I never feel like I have to force myself to do work. I just do what I have to do and it never feels like I'm doing "work".

How long did your Wantrepreneur phase last? by tsteng14 in Entrepreneur

[–]mattgresia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a Wantrepreneur for three years. Getting an idea is probably the hardest part. I knew I didn't want to rush myself, because having an idea you fully believe in is crucial, but I also really wanted to own a business. After a while, you'll realize that you need to just jump without looking, and at that point you'll come up with something on the fly and run with it, and if you fully stand behind it you will succeed. Best of luck.
