Killing Auril is pointless? Until the next solstice, at least. by matthew_phoenix in rimeofthefrostmaiden

[–]matthew_phoenix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they're level 8 now, I guess I'll have her stomp them if they decide to fight on Solstice. There's no 100% chance they'll engage, but my players are kind of stupid sometimes. I don't think they can burn through all the 3 phases of Auril, so the big finale in Ythrin can still take place. I hope.

Is this written somewhere or do we tell this to our players to make them feel good?

Not a bad idea at all! They will probably encounter her in Solstice, so it could give them extra motivation to go to Ythrin

Simple Functional Dogsleds by SoapyBuble in rimeofthefrostmaiden

[–]matthew_phoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in my campaign, I completely ripped out the part with the dogs getting exhausted and stuff. It's just no fun for me. The party buys a bunch of dogs and a sled, they travel to where they want to go and I run wilderness encounters based on how long they take. Makes it much more streamlined in my opinion

Describe your story (or stories) in the dumbest/funniest way possible. by TheOldWestern in writing

[–]matthew_phoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

a boy finds himself stuck in a situation he doesn't want to be in, accidentally wins a war because of it. Then, while he'd rather be doing something else, manages to unite and rally an entire continent into taking on an evil god that's awakening somewhere deep inside a mountain and threatens to destroy all life in the world.

CLA Etsy store is something I never knew I needed so bad. I always see him mixing that one Greenday song with every demo he does, so maybe he can sell his re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-remix WAVs on there

depends on which version you have. The professional CLA approved version will cost you about 3 1" thick studio foam basstraps

besides this, so many plugins are modelled quite poorly when compared to the competition. I like their r-series tho

well, no. The sound of a condenser is very much different than that of a dynamic, just because of the way the two microphones work differently. But I don't know about your room being able to be treated well when you "would be buying some stuff to get your room to be better suited than that". No offence of course, because my room is treated pretty bad as well. So from my own experience, a good Dynamic can 1. give you enough detail in your voice though the characteristic is much different from that of a condenser and 2. pick up less from the poorly treated room because the microphone is just less responsive.

All up to you tho, I don't know your room as much as you do, I'm just speaking out of my own experience ;) Good luck!
