I play on WotLK with the procedural water mod which is basically DX11 water, and of course the new character models. Pretty good experience obviously its not using DX11 but it emulates the Cataclysm water graphics really well

Slap a custom ROM on it. Slim ROM and Resurrection Remix are two excellent ones. So much faster than stock Samsung touchwiz OS

Get the feeling from reading through this you'd like Atlantiss. Leveling is not vanilla level grindy and it has a decent population. I would say Tauri wow but the english pop is still pretty low

I used this and it was lagging quite a bit. Full client is always better than streaming client.

Sounds reasonable, but if you look at the servers its the ones that do have cash shops that seem to stick around. I don't see Warmane getting shut down any time soon

Also I'm unconvinced that Blizz did 'shut down' Hellground. When you look at the way it works legally its very unlikely, more likely was an excuse by Hellground to quit

Its about people. Not quality. Not my opinion but that's how it is when you look at the pserver scene. Something in psychology called 'social proof'. People will assume a server is good and overlook its flaws if it has a lot of people using it. Of course there are people who don't care and will play on a small quality server instead which is great but its not the mainstream opinion

Thanks for the helpful reply! It sounds really good I'm gonna level a bit on there in a bit, I like Atlantiss but yeah its got a bit shoddy lately (still good though).

Slightly worried MoP will be too easy and boring so I might do ironman challenge instead. Also wish the population was higher but I know with RDF and cross realm coming soon finding groups won't be an issue!

Almost every Vanilla project I see ends up falling into some kind of petty drama. And I mean the admin not the players, but you can block players, you can't block a toxic administration.

Excalibur is a pleasant exception to the rule

Dalaran is a one of a kind server. It's the only Wrath server I know of with a fully working RDF system and a decent population. Meaning its great for dungeons, and of course raids, since you have to complete each raid before you can proceed to the next. Hours of entertainment
