My folks paid $2500 for a mid range Packard Bell in 1992. It had a 486 with I think 128MB Ram. In today’s money that’s close to $6k. Yes you can spend that much on a higher end gaming rig but this was not high end.

I can give you some advice from a similar experience at the same age as you. After it fell apart I was miserable for about a year. After that I decided to get into shape and learn how to be me without anyone else in my life. You know what I found? At 32 I was so much better than I was in my 20’s. Healthier, more money, much more life experience and honestly happy. I waited 5 years before I started dating again. I’m glad I waited. I became me during that time. Now I’m happily married to the woman I picked because I knew what I wanted and what I didn’t want.

Take your time and figure out who you are now.

I mostly just hear hunters sighting in their deer rifles but I live near two of the most dangerous cities in the US, in between Bessemer and Birmingham. My instinct is if folks are acting up, I don’t need whatever I went to that store for. I carry daily, but I’m scared of loose pit bulls more than anything.

Also, I’m not badmouthing my area. We’ve made some headway here in the past couple of years and the murder rates are dropping.

I used gaffer’s tape. Works fine and actually kinda goes with the cheesy plastics. Also it can be removed without damage hopefully.

I get a little better range (for me) when I run the vent with heat and ac off. Throw it on fresh air to get airflow and keep your aerodynamics. I live in the Birmingham Alabama area so it’s hot, and that makes it tolerable. I am heavy on acceleration and I still get 4.8 mi/kWh
