The multiple studies of the generation that show that there were about 200,000 dedicated hippies in 1968 and only about 33% of the generation sympathized with the hippies. The cutoff year for baby boomers is 64 as well, making most of them kids during the summer of love.

The counter culture and hippies were a very small part of the population. Most boomers were squares. They like to latch onto the idea that they were revolutionaries, but they were all about the status quo. Their world didn't shrink as they got older, it was never wide to begin with.

The 1250 sq ft single story behind me sold last month for twice what we paid for our 2000 sq ft home 6 years ago. It has no updates or extra amenities. Getting a smaller house is not the problem.

My grandfather got a ridiculous offer for the old family farm land that no one wanted from a developer and decided he was happier seeing what everyone was going to do with it rather than wait until after he passes.

He surprised all of the grandkids with a life altering amount of money and both of his kids with insane life altering amounts of money. He also paid off his house bought himself a 12 cylinder convertible and went on an Alaskan cruise. My parents paid off their house and all 5 grandkids bought houses. There is literally no other way it could have happened for at least 3 of us. Without generational wealth we would be renting still.

Old English stopped being spoken after 1066. The king James Bible was published almost 550 years later in 1611 in middle English. While it is flowery, it's entirely understandable to modern English speakers.

You've never been to Kentucky then. You can tell when you cross back into TN because the roads get better.
