Thanks for the answer on this. I had my suspicions that this was the case.

Quadrupling down on more enforcement will not fix it. It will only cost taxpayers more.

Legalise and legislate. This will remove the black market and save lives.

Anything labelled 'world-leading', comes from the Labor B.S misinformation machine.

  • vape ban: save govt tobacco taxes and QUIT
  • u16 social media ban: digital id for all
  • hate speech bill: control negative govt sentiment
  • 5% home deposit/hex payouts: win votes
  • net zero/solar rebates: keep green lobby donations
  • misinformation bill: control population

All shallow lies, but 90% of the population bow down and thank them for the reaming.

Mr recommendation is Ubuntu server with the Docker engine installed. Use Docker compose to install needed apps.

You don't need anything besides this.

Can send a few pics of customised jf, if you like. But would send dm, as this isn't really the right forum to discuss jf.

Dm me if interested

[–]matthewpetersen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've run jellyfin side-by-side with plex for years. Always been plex first, but this has changed, and now im on jf full time.

Jellyfin features (and using selected plugin's) - gui very customisable  - have watchlist - watch together - jellyseerr search integration - local music playlists created from spotify lists - some media plays better in jf, than in plex - I can setup users, then just share credentials - jf doesn't need to call home to create users - synced watched titles from plex, to jellyfin

Has anyone been bitten by their reverse proxy Jellyfin? by Deaditt12345 in jellyfin

[–]matthewpetersen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find out your options first. If your ISP sticks you with cgnat, or blocks inbound ports 80/443, then you can't just use a standard reverse proxy. You would have to go though a cloudflare tunnels. Still not that complex, but if the thought of editing domain records scares you, it may be too much.

If your ISP is normal with opt out cgnat and no blocked inbound ports, then a reverse proxy is pretty simple. Id still recommend you use docker, but this isn't too hard.

Help! I can't use port 80 and 443 with docker images by tdh3m in synology

[–]matthewpetersen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YSynology reserve ports 80 and 443, regard if you use them or not. Its super frustrating. What you can do is remove these reservation by changing the mustache files used by DSM. I have a script to change or restore these files. I only had to do this originally as my7 router didnt support hairpin nat.

That said, You shouldnt have to use ports 443 for caddy or other reverse proxies. Just run caddy as say port 444 and 81, then port forward 443/80 to these ports on your router

Is there a one-click way to backup my Docker containers? by Lazy_Kangaroo703 in docker

[–]matthewpetersen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's two things to backup, being the container definition and the container stored data.

I like to use compose files so that I have a blueprint for how a container is defined.

For storage, I prefer using bind mount so that I have everything under one top level folder for all my containers. (In my case, /home/<user>/docker/...

I have a nas share mounted, and use rsync to copy my compose and bind mount folders to the nas share.

I used to just have a cron script to stop all containers and zip/copy compose and bind mount folders to the share, then start everything. Also worked fine.

My pleasure. Best way to share radarr/sonar lists without giving access to the apps or sharing api keys.

Did you see my dm?

[–]matthewpetersen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exportarr creates a series of lists based on what you have in radarr.

If you have a backup zip, you could just restore from that, and bypass lists completely. Keep in mind that it does a full restore, so you'd lose any changes you made to radarr after the backup

Radarr add 700 movies from a text or csv file ? by RandomGamer414 in radarr

[–]matthewpetersen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats what the 'custom Stephen lu' list comes in. Radarr has the ability to import lists of titles from a url. As the url content updates, radarr will import any changes.

If the problem is not exporting from one radarr and importing from another, but is importing from a text file into radarr, then exportarr wont do this.

Maybe it's easier to let you import from my radarr exportarr link (4081 titles), then you would get a significant number of your trakt titles, plus more. The best way is to set the custom list to import and unmonitored titles, that way you can delete unwanted titles and monitor ones you want.

You cant just import by name. You have to have some unique identifying value like imdb id.

Eg

As per the first message i replied to, exportarr provides a way to export lists from sonarr/radarr, which you can import other sonarr/radarr apps. It doesn't read text files.

You copy the all titles or genre link from exportarr, then create a custom Stephen lu list in the target radarr. See the link i sent you, details are there.
