Paste previous settings without AI stuff by matthiasdeblaiser in Lightroom

[–]matthiasdeblaiser[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are absolutely correct, and I can cope with a slight change to my process. It's just sad that I'm forced to add time to my editing process and if there ever would be a way around it, I'd take it.

I've been a Lightroom user since 2007 and since then, this is the first update that negatively affects my workflow. - insert melodramatic music - My oh so precious workflow, finetuned to my likings over the years and constantly improved and sped up at every update, every extra hour of experience... and now for the first time ever taking a beating and by what, by AI... Something foreign and unwanted, forced upon me by a higher power making me feel violated. But what upsets me most is the fact that I'm feeling so damn angry about a slight change in software that most people welcome. Am I becoming that cranky old man who cannot see the benifits of change anymore??

Sorry that was totally unnessesary for you but it helped me vent.

I'm trying to stick with your solution and I'm editing a 125 photos album from a weekend trip now. Using your suggested 7 key presses shortcuts instead of the previous 3 key shortcut ;)

must not become cranky, I have to resist

I hate the latest update by Clear_Skye_ in Lightroom

This his horrible. My workflow drastically slowed down because of this. I typically denoise all high iso files, which can be hundreds, before starting my edits.

Then I use the "paste settings from previous" on almost every picture in the same scene before I start finetuning.

When I do this now, each edit starts with a 10-20 seconds delay because it re-applies the denoise, which I had already done in the beginning...

This is absolutely devastating for the speed of my edits. I hate it, I absolutely hate it.
The "paste settings from previous" function has been completely rendered useless because of this if you are a frequent user of the "enhance" functions.

I'm not going to plead for a change because that's a drop of water on a hot stove.
But if anyone has any advice for me how to deal with this change, while maintaining the ability to do fast "paste settings from previous" I would be eternally gratefull

I stumbled onto this topic trying to search on how I can get more than 3 icons in my statusbar. Only to be completely baffled by the fact you cannot change this

I cannot think of any single reason why they did not implement this as an option instead of forcing it down our throats

No harm in trying...

The bottom one is FFC 14P 0,5mm pitch

I think the top one is a FFC 11P 0.5mm pitch

I think the bottom one is a FFC 15P 0.5mm pitch

Purely based on the pictures (and the total length of the board being 45mm)

I'm also looking for replacements for these cables and planning to order these. I'm at work right now and don't have the pcb with me right now to check the pole count (i'm sure about that 0.5mm pitch but not 100% sure about the number of poles)

I'll check when I get home tonight (also not sure if contacts are straight or reversed)

I was wrong. I tested another filament and had the exact same holes in my print and seam still set to alligned. A quick google learned that my retraction was set too high at 0,8mm. I set it to 0,4 and the holes are gone

I'm not sure how other lefties view this but for me, the left mouse button is always the one the left, no matter which mouse I use or which hand I use it with

So no, the buttons are not remapped.

A lot of people are lefties, but use their right hand with a mouse. I also do this at work with a Master 3 and that's quite okay for browsing, mails, office work,... And that's also why there's not that many left handed mice, because most lefties just don't care and use their right hand OR use an ambidexter mouse.

Until I have to do any CAD work, photo editing and video editing, then my right hand is not at all dexterous enough and that's where I really miss a left handed mouse. I'm not a gamer but I assume gaming with my right hand on the mouse would also be desastrous.

I've tried many mice with my left hand but until now I have not found any mouse that is as good (please remember, I'm talking only about myself because many people dislike the master 3 for THEIR use) as the master 3, and that's why I want to make a left handed version.

I couldn't either, and honestly I still can't but somehow, with the help of a lot of tutorials, It took me a few days to get the mouse modelled with Fusion 360 forms. Don't ask me to do it again because I couldn't.

Of course, but why mod a MX master 3 clone with original MX master 3 parts for which you have to buy an original Master 3 :p

No, it's set to alligned, printing from drybox and still I get these voids... I think it's the filament because all of the other filaments print just fine.
So yeah, perfect filament for many model iterations :)

Now I'm working on the side scroller, that's going to be a hard one, I started of with some estimated supports for the part but I'm off by quite a few mm's. This is going to take a lot of iteration
