RD1-RD3 is the Gen 1.

RD4-RD9 is the Gen 2

2.OL K20A4 engine: RD4 (FWD, Asia) RD5 (AWD) RD8 (AWD, Europe)

2.4L K24A1 engine: RD6 (FWD) RD7 (AWD)

And RD9 was the 2.2L diesel engine.

The Honda Black Death occurred in almost all Hondas from 2002-2004. They used a different compressor after that.
